Their reduced allocation is down to selling of a chunk of the away end for semi-permanent advertising. Apparently not many clubs take up the full 3,000ish so they make more from 2,000+advertising.
Anyway, looking forward to it. For those looking to avoid the German Market, there's some great little pubs (Red Lion, Queen's Arms, Jewellers Arms, The Church and loads others) in the Jewellery Quarter. 10min walk from City Centre. You can then get a tram direct to the Hawthorns.
Hen & Chickens also great for a post-match beer and curry too.
