This was a great day by the way, highly recommend to anyone interested in running a half. Nice flat route and bits through the countryside/small village. Also randomly Ian Stringer was the event host. He did a really good job to be fair.

Anyone read this. The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu? Part of a trilogy. It's (Hard) Sci-fi and not normally the genre I tend to go for, but I've just read this and the 2nd in the trilogy and they blew my mind. An amazing amount of detail and science theory but all wrapped into a really exciting plot. Netflix have just bought the rights so hoping they don't ruin it, although don't have much hope.

Read this last year. Incredibly bleak and tough read and it doesn't really let up, but very well written. Can't say I enjoyed reading it but a brilliant book.

We don't have the booing numbers to make the the top 5. But we are pretty consistent with it. For as long as I can remember, if we don't win there is very often a small smattering of boos.

Unfortunately there is no chance we have big money to play with in the transfer market. We have already sold off our most valuable assets, and for a cut price because of relegation. We've seen already how tight things are regardless of PL TV money. Equally, I fear we will struggle to compete at the the top end of the Prem with the modest funds/strong scouting approach because we just don't have the vision required from the top. We only have Enzo. The only vague hope I have is that bringing Enzo in was a calculated decision to choose that style of play/approach/identity to the footballing side of things as a club in general. That would mean using that style throughout our age groups, targeting players to fit that style and if Enzo were to go, only bringing in a replacement that also bought into it. But given the other managers we were linked with, I highly doubt it.

I'm doing the Leicestershire Half for the first time in a few weeks, has anyone run it before? I did the Brum half last year and its a pretty big event with DJs and entertainment a lot of the way around and people line the streets with signs and jelly babies etc. It looks like the Leicestershire half is a bit more low key, as the majority of it is run on the old Airfield. I had a few questions for anyone that's run it or been to it: Are there hydration stations throughout? Is there space for family to hang out whilst you're running and is there refreshments etc to keep them going/warm? Am I right thinking there's little going on when running the route and so earphones is a good idea? Any other tips/insight welcome Cheers

A rather random one, but heading to Paris to watch Mos Def perform only MF DOOM tracks. Has the potential to be amazing, can't wait.

I'd take 26 points at this stage

Losing track of the amount of "brigades" we supposedly have in this fan base.

No but looks good! Report back when you've given it a go.

There's quite a lot of parking around Digbeth. Mostly Pay & Display.

Completely agree. There's not 1 good pint to be had in there these days. All the Everards stuff must be kept really poorly because it's awful. The one IPA they have on is barely drinkable, Lagers are flat and the Guinness is very thin. A real shame.

Tight but doable walking. You might need to leave before full time. Traffic is awful round the ground so I think a taxi is a bad move.

Thanks mate. I've tried both but buttermilk is definitely my preference, with a fair bit of hot sauce and seasoning in. Never actually tried a batter so will have to go e that a go, but I always use a mix of corn flour and regular flour for the dredge. Interesting in the white pepper though, I'm the same, not used it out of laziness as I never have it in. Will definitely give it a go. Thanks for the channel suggestion too, will look him up.

That looks great mate! Have been on a journey myself trying to perfect fried chicken. Did two buffalo wings, two sticky siracha and a standard chicken burger here. Love trying different approaches to brining the chicken and different flour dredge.

The Old Royal or The Old Contemtables are both a 5min walk from Snowhill Station and open from 10am.

3 on the website still

Safe Standing option for this. Didn't realise they'd put them in.

Haha hopefully goes without saying that's where to go nearer the ground.

Their reduced allocation is down to selling of a chunk of the away end for semi-permanent advertising. Apparently not many clubs take up the full 3,000ish so they make more from 2,000+advertising. Anyway, looking forward to it. For those looking to avoid the German Market, there's some great little pubs (Red Lion, Queen's Arms, Jewellers Arms, The Church and loads others) in the Jewellery Quarter. 10min walk from City Centre. You can then get a tram direct to the Hawthorns. Hen & Chickens also great for a post-match beer and curry too.

Ah great, wondered what had happened to this one. Big fan.

Saw Gaz earlier this year and thought he was great. I think his latest album is his best by a distance. Enjoy!

I think the only reason he hasn't been close to that Spurs team is he's been very unlucky having Mourinho and Conte back to back who both want a DM or normally two in their midfield. His only option then was playing further forward which isn't his game. Few Spurs mates of mine were v confident he'd be brilliant for us and always mention when he basically ran the show at the Bernabeu during a 1-1 draw.

For me it's to have 15/20mins with my mates I only normally see on matchdays. Quite happy to miss 5 mins of a 90min game, it's not the end of the world. Although don't tend to go down until after 40th min.
