Love the boys and the podcast, but Jake putting that soundbite out there is just a bit embarrassing. We all care about this club, we all want change, but going down might well finish us off and then we won't have one.

Sale and Carolan will come with him.
Would be decent if Any or all of Delap, Kevin Phillips and Callum Davidson joined him, too.
He only took Sale into Oxford to be fair as far as I can make out. Would presume it will be the same here.

I’m under no illusions that he will do quite well this season, keep us up then get offered a 3 year deal in the summer only to be sacked in September when we’re awful again
Well this is it, it's like Shakey all over again, we can't appoint him full time in the summer as he's been proven that he's not necessarily effective at that at this point. He's gained a title of a firefighter.
Let's hope he keeps us up, gets paid decently and we can all move on.

Classic King Power.
Make the fans beg for literally anything to appease them.
"At least they got someone" is what has gotten us here. Going out there with no intention and zero ambition and being happy with whatever scraps fall at your feet.
Size wise we're a Premier League club. We should be able to compete for managers with ambition and experience (like Brendan Rodgers when we got him) yet since his sacking we've consistently been fed absolute muck.
All because Rudkin is too incompetent to do his job properly and Aiyawatt is too blinded by a false sense of loyalty to sack the ****.
Both HAVE to be removed from their positions here.
Yeah I agree fully, but if we're listening to the media we've consumed then we're finished. Like we've discussed in other threads I would rather we didn't have to go down the Phoenix club route. I would rather we stayed up and forced the ownership out off the pitch - I think that's reasonable.

Thought he turned the opportunity down indirectly in an interview recently?
Why are literally all of your posts either suggestive or asking a question? Say it with your chest

I may well get hammered for this but during the remaining matches we really need to get behind Rowett and, though most of them don’t deserve it and it sticks in the craw, this team of mercenaries. Going down to L1 would be an existential crisis for us. I also think it would make Aiywatt even less likely to sell as the club would be worth relative peanuts. We simply have to stay up and hope we can somehow reset with lots of big earners out of contract in the summer.
No, you're right. We're all consuming these podcasts basically saying we're finished if we go down. By all means protest against the ownership, but get behind us in a pursuit to get results. We want this club don't we?
-
Literally no need to brand this as "underwhelming" - they've actually managed to find someone competent and agree to a deal till the summer. It is what it is.

They haven't got a clue. No problem with Rowett on those terms but could have been done at least a week a go. Shambles of an operation.

Certainly not going to say they’ll go down that route again after the last experience, but Jonny Wasserman Heitinga has just left spurs (not sure what the point in him going there was
)
Was convinced he was being put in place for Slot

I despise it when people post "lock this thread" because this is a forum and people should conversate, but I think is an exception. This thread is serving zero purpose until Percy, Collomosse or any other remotely reputable journo post something meaningful.

We're a long way off this point
I hear you but I actually disagree. This club doesn’t need to even go into admin for it to happen - only have to look around this forum to see how much hate there is for a regime that most likely aren’t going to budge any time soon. They’re past the point of return for a LOT of people. FC United started in the same circumstances.
Only question would be is there enough people with that much hate for this regime but that much determination for something new.
But yeah, anyway, can we have it at Leicester Road in Hinckley please, that would be most convenient

If there was a reformed club there's great stadium vacant, Hinckley Leicester Road stadium would be good setup.
Agreed but we might be biased

It does sound like this Charlie guy has done his due diligence; to the extent you wonder if he’s positioning towards a bid for the club? However - I do get the sense he’d be an asset stripper type of owner.
Right on both fronts. We're the kind of basket case him and his cronies hoover up. And yes, exactly what he did at Sunderland.
-
Genuinely think they’re going to get desperate and pick up the phone to Nigel to either come and do it outright or on a looser basis to help King.
By desperate I mean from their own point of view that they never entertained the idea in the first place, not the fans standpoint.

Think I’ve found what account that graphic came from, big parody/WUM vibes

Don’t want Methven anywhere near this club, he’s far from being an angel himself and made a tit out of himself repeatedly on that Sunderland doc. But no doubting he’s well across how much of a farce it is here too, fair play to him for saying it how it is.

Arguably the Stoke game is the first chance he's got to choose the team he actually wants to start with.
We will see what we are actually made of then. (Hopefully)
How? He’ll be missing Lascelles and James to start with off the top of my head

Roll back 7 months we could have appointed Danny Rohl or Chris Wilder and all would have been fine.
Now look at the mess we're in because of Top and Rudkin, roll forward 7 months and the club will be in administration in league 1.
It’s complete hindsight but I’m pretty sure we’d be top 10 under Wilder right now. The obsession with a style of play killed us when we should have gone more pragmatic.

We haven’t really had any whistleblowers on Rudkin have we? Find that strange
They’ll come. Pretty sure Vardy will reveal all on Rudkin one day for one.

The simple common sense guess would be is they simply don’t want to A) obviously pay for competition right now and B) they only want someone until the end of the season. At that point they can reevaluate with some actual room to spend and clarity on their league position to attract what/who they want. Can’t imagine there is lots of candidates queuing up to only work until June, with these players, on those terms.

Big fan of the black and sash blue colour theme for this protest, can see it taking off in the same way as the United green and yellow.

Appreciate the posts about people going to the football to keep them sane and give them a release from the pressures of life even despite results, Appreciate the ones from others of it being a reason to spend time with loved ones… I really do get it and have been there myself.
But it’s as simple this, if action isn’t taken it’s increasingly likely you’re not going to have the option of going down to Filbert Way for those pleasures. Then what?

Not ready for management but he’d be the first to admit it. Anyone that’s calling him out can be fvcking lobbed into the sea with Top and Rudkin.
