Seems Rowett is close to Blackburn.
What on earth is the plan here? (Short answer is there isn’t one I know)

umm… we’re not in Scotland. We’re in England. The championship. That’s a division that Russell Martin has been promoted from before. Has Gerard had any managerial success in England? As far as I’m aware, he has been TERRIBLE in everything other than a two horse race..
listen I don’t want Martin, but what IS bizarre is to want Gerard over him.
So does that mean Martin is a prime candidate for this league? Got it.

Can't see it being Graham Potter, despite past links.
How is he possibly walking away from a shot at a World Cup with Sweden. Waffle

Honestly, I feel like Martin is the epitome of new manager bounce. Keep us up, win a very few of you over the within that period - and then stink out next season. That bloke is weird.

Imagine after all this chat over the past few hours, it ends up being Chris Coleman.
To be fair I don't think anyone has a clue. The betting has been suspended and no one has a clue why, we're all just waiting for Percy for some insight.

The only way appointing Gerrard becomes a sound choice is if he comes with a great backroom team like Lampard did with the Chavs.
Frank has an unreal team behind him there.
Obsessed with backroom staff you
but agreed Gerrard isn't much without Beale based on accomplishments.

Don’t think we should be too hung up on Skubala’s (or anyone in league one and below) compensation. If we haven’t got enough PSR wriggle room
in the bank to get those done we’re in serious shit. Still don’t think those at the top will want him though.

Any idea about why they would have suspended the betting, other than them receiving a lot of money on one candidate?
I think because Rowett’s comments are just a bit weird, implies it’s either him or it’s imminent. Like I said earlier in the thread I would expect a tweet from Percy in the next couple of hours.

Can I just put out I attend games with @RedSoxUK and he's as accurate as my Dad at the treble 20 after 8 John Smiths
What is this supposed to tell us, I’m about a 100x more accurate at the treble 20 with some sauce consumed than without

Would be baffling when Rowett and Mowbray are available.
Totally agree with you on your realistic Rowett and Mowbray shouts…
However completely disagree with the opinion (and generally quite a few others) on Ole, I think people forget he achieved the highest league finish with United since Ferguson sometimes. Yeah at times it was below their standards, but those don’t represent our standards right now.
I think Ole would be a coup. He would also play a style of football that a lot of people want on here - his United side at their best were very much fast, a bit more direct counter attacking football. If people don’t want a “tippy tappy merchant” then Ole would honestly be a bit of a coup for where we’re at.
He gets meme’d because he was a victim of a top club in an awful state - and actually wasn’t even that bad.

I can feel a Percy bomb brewing

Probably means nowt but betting suspended on Skybet. They’ve probably given up on us too
Not necessarily related but also noticed Skubala has shortened from the last time I looked.
-
Think the captaincy has killed him, since his injuries he’s always gone about his business under the radar.. take a break out the team when he needs to for his fitness and what not. Now he’s probably the most recognised player of a very poor group, expected to carry us and unable to contribute as much as a captain needs to. I don’t think he’s a natural leader and I don’t think he probably wanted to be captain either.
-
Problem with Rowett is I would imagine Blackburn are offering him a lot more of a longer term deal than us. I know where I’d go if we were only offering a deal until the end of the season.
Mind you, also a possibility we’d offer him a 5 year deal and keys to the city

Am I missing something with the Dean Smith shouts??? Isn't he still in work???
Linked (by a poor source) to all the available champ jobs, would seem he wants out of the MLS.

Actually think they’re going to desperately (in their eyes) turn to Pearson at this point. Going to miss out on Rowett, Would seem Mowbray isn’t well enough, King not ready, Martin for various reasons, Don’t think Skubala would want it nor would we pay. Where else do they go?

I'd also heard he'd be very keen to come back but hasn't been asked...the reason being a certain individual sounding a lot like Ron Judkin.
Yeah, heard similar. Even if it was to help King.

Unfortunately I don’t think he’s in a position health wise to be considered.
I’ve personally heard that this is incorrect.

If there’s truth in Deano, wonder if Fuchs might be tempted to come in with him after working together at Charlotte. That would be even more compensation mind and damn harsh on Newport.

And Man City's?..
How long are we gonna keep saying this. Not arsed They're a different league both in terms of football and (legal) resources, deal with it. Football is never gonna be any different.
Take accountability for ourselves.

Missed the boat on making some money out of him by not signing him in January. He turns us down in the summer and goes to one of the clubs queuing up for him without a shadow of doubt.
