Make your own mind up - perhaps marginally less opposition than for Martin, but still no enthusiasm  (apart from usual optimism of 'give him a chance'). It is interesting looking at initial thoughts and most were spot on.

The Cooper appointment somehow felt worse at the time than Martin does now. Maybe because I still had a season ticket then.

I might be in the minority but this is actually a decent appointment for where we are right now. He has a point to prove and they've appointed

him at the start of the transfer window so he can have input into recruitment. Big challenge inevitably is the squad rebuild.

    Absolutely right.

    You are in the minority.

Only we could look past a manager who finished 3rd in league 1 last season for Russell fvcking Martin.
I dread to think how long a contract we give him.

Or it could be that Challinor has been approached but didn't want the job? Will be interesting to see where he goes or even takes on another club for now.

Nothing seems real or dare I say authentic about this bloke.

Just seems a total and utter bullshitter

Not sure if any of us have met the bloke but he seems to be a creep that must talk a good game. You get them in all walks of life, we've all met them. Sadly, some fall for it.

Had any 'reliable' sources ever confirmed he was coming?

Only Percy reporting that he is under consideration. All others have followed his lead, including the BBC, with the rest just click bait guesswork. No idea if Foxestalk ITK's or NITK's.

The longer this goes on the better.

I usually have a keen interest on Leicester players at the world cup but struggling to get behind him. Just feels like he went AWOL in the crunch periods of the season. Only one is maybe Souttar with Australia

Hoping that he's outstanding to start a bidding war. Or so useless he disappears from the transfer radar.

I was at that Sheff Utd game, "f___ off Martin O'Neill" was the chant ringing round filbo.  Hard not to take that personally

So was I. My Dad borrowed season tickets a couple of rows from the directors box. I didn't join in with the Go West song as I was in O'Neill's camp but almost took the abuse personally due to proximity. Muzzy's debut was the only highlight.

Why does it take us so long?
Especially when there’s more chance whoever we hire will be out of work anyway.
I’d say it’s because they have absolutely no idea who they want and probably the majority don’t want to join us with the financial mess we are in.

Anyone any good will have other options to explore before committing to a Div 1 club. We will be a club of last resort.

I don’t think there’s a doubt that he’s out number one choice though. Which is the big problem really because it’s simply not the direction we wanted the club to go in. Whether he accepts or not, we now know that’s the road  the club want us to continue down…. It’s just all more evidence that we’ve learnt nothing and have no desire to change course.

what’s most alarming, is that if you read between the lines it likely means top thinks the issue was that the managers we hired were the reason for our downfall and not everything else. I think a full on reimagining should have been on the cards after crashing us to our lowest ever point

I fear that you might be right but I'm still clinging to the hope that it's just the usual sources regurgitating as fact very dubious information.

Show me a screenshot from any social media comment of a Leicester fan who thinks this is a good appointment 😂

The entire football community is feeling sorry for us.

Have a look at some of the Facebook stuff. Anyone that disagrees with the son of Vichai gets ridiculed. Most fans don't comment on social's and I've just had shrugged shoulders when I've spoken to some other fans. We all saw the apathy during the recent protests. Not enough care and will go along with anything relating to King Power.
