Soulsby promised the Kate Street Champion's mural would be recreated on a prominent route into the city.
Still waiting, Pete

The three players I think I'd like to have seen play for us live.
I only saw Banks twice as a nipper. Saw every one of Shilton's games at Filbert Street between 1970-71 until his move. Even saw his debut for Stoke at the old Victoria Ground.
Saw the first two Lineker goals at Filbert Street (vs Sheff Utd) and most of the others.
I was in here that day....

Lineker was world class whilst at LCFC. Just wasn't recognised as such by the london/North West centric media.
Same with Shilton. Banks was best keeper in the world in '66, that's not arguable.

That's not what it's saying I don't think. I think it's saying there are 20,420 sold and 6,054 still available to choose from.

Which probably makes sense if they expect less away fans this year.Yes, probably didn't make it clear. Thought that we could only sell 23,000 odd in previous seasons as a certain percentage had to be made available as match tickets? Perhaps different rules in L1?

26,474 season tickets is, I think, a couple of thousand more than previous seasons? The Season ticket number sold so far means the 'attendance' figure will never be announced as below 20,000 even if it's clearly barely close to that.

Darren Ferguson is the name we are dropping in, so keeping Gazza or some other appointment doesn't seem as bad.
The longer we don't have a thank you Gary for your work, the more it makes me think he could be under consideration for the job.
I would think that Rowett is the fall-back option if a better candidate doesn't show up. They won't want to rule him out just yet and if the best they can attract is Darren fuching Ferguson then it's sensible.

The timing couldn't have been any worse. Massive shame the 10-year anniversary coincides with club breaking it's own fanbase to the point that most don't want to celebrate the momumental achievement by the best players we have, or likely to again, ever seen wearing our badge. I would've been there under most circumstances but I'm not ready to return yet.

Could do we Souttar having a good W/C to get us a decent fee.
Or even just to get his fitness back up ready for the start of the season. Give's an extra bit of interest in the World Cup.

A quick Google search confirms that we won't sign him as he's contracted until 2029 with no release clause. Next....

Depends on his ambition. Don't know much about his attitude but he might attempt to force a move away. He'll get attention if he gets World Cup exposure. Would another club take a risk given his injury record? Certainly affect any transfer fee.

And West Brom had a deduction for donating to a charity whilst Blackburn got fiddled by replaying a game against Ipswich when leading. It’s all whataboutary that we can’t cherry pick to suit ourselves.
Don't need to cherry pick. The league table doesn't lie. Or does it?

I think they will leave Rowett in charge
Depends who is available, willing and cheap. I think we are all hoping for a clean sweep by removing as many as possible tarnished by the season from hell. Not sure the club will be brave enough so fear you might be right. 14 matches is enough to know if we want him or not.

The club deserved the deduction but aren’t fortune tellers to know when the deduction would be most beneficial. Given what the PL and EFL were trying to deduct we got off lightly, not that it mattered, in the end.
Club and fans need to accept their medicine on this one and move on as there’s no benefit in dwelling on what ifs.
We were relegated by 6 points.

What is your problem, mate?
Who’s side are you on with your argument?
You don’t get a prize for being statistically correct. Yeh, 52 points would have THEORETICALLY kept us up but even that is a meaningless argument considering the space time continuum. How do you know the other teams wouldn’t have been spurred on by the amount of points they needed to get?
Surely you can’t be suggesting that the situation as it actually happened didn’t affect how different teams played. For example, Blackburn were on the beach today and so were we. The point people keep making is that if this was a crunch game there’s ample evidence we would have lost, see Portsmouth or several home games.
I’m not here to defend PSR, but the last thing this club needs is the narrative that we didn’t deserve to be relegated.
Theoretically
I don't have any problem, mate. The only FACT that we have is the 52 points and a better goal diff than Blackburn would've been enough. Everything else is just opinion and speculation but I agree they most likely would've bottled it if something was riding on todays result. The 6 point deduction was also most likely to have skewed the run-in. The players deserve their reduced salary and the criticism. I only have sympathy for the fans and those that will lose their jobs because of these spineless, lazy players and the dereliction of duty by the board.

I never want to boo one of our immortals which is inevitable unless he's a spectacular success and gets poached.

The Austrian league must be seriously poor. But I will remember that goal against Notts Forest. Expensive mistake.

Absolutely spot on .... and they are the statistics that got us relegated.... 3 wins in a little over 4 months ..... cannot deal with the fact some are hiding behind the points deduction
No need to hide. Those collection of awful stats gave us 52 points. Enough to avoid relegation. Can you see that?

This squad were 30-40 points shy of what they were capable of and the boards terrible financial decisions over 4 years put us here. Nothing else. It's simply small club mentality to suggest otherwise
Remember Everton's reaction to their points deduction? God help the Premier League had that relegated them. Small club mentality? I would argue the opposite and point at the celebrated Leicester self-deprecation. It's part of our DNA.
