Draw, for me. As both still have enough to play for against both our rivals. Especially with Middlesbrough playing Ipswich and Leeds in their next two.
-
Think there's approx 22-23k STHs. Given the permutations of potentially being promoted/crowned title winners, I'm not surprised it's sold out?

Daka shouldn't be starting, sorry. You need your strikers to score. He doesn't do that. He's not reliable when you need goals to win games, let alone when you don't have many chances anyway.
-
Bonus that we're somehow still top despite losing. But it could have been so much better! Now we just have to get 3 points at Plymouth. Give us all a bit of a relaxing weekend
-
I know, I mean in the sense of the missed opportunity.
-
Wow that would have been insane
-
Even if Ipswich only draw it just annoys me more that we didn't win last night.
-
Agree with the last point. We've been sussed out for ages which should have been the time to change things. As for shit football, it wasn't always the case. We played some really good dynamic football that led to goals and chances. We just see much less of it because of the point you make about being sussed out.

There must be a word for having such an air of inevitability about something that is going to happen.
-
But we went on a good run after that. 14 out of 15 games won? So something was working back then...
-
Especially for when they sacked Eustace just to get Rooney in
-
95th minute. But only 3 minutes stoppage time.

Keith Stroud gives a penalty for a foul outside the box...

Would love it if he at least attempted to try something different. Even Rodgers wasn't this stubborn. Part of being a good manager (at the very least) is to be adaptable but still maintain any core principles. Right now he's just making us suffer to prevent his own pride diminishing. You can still play possession based football but mix it up a bit either in the game or from game to game. We're just doing the same thing over and over again now expecting a different result but not getting them. And that's what leads to results like last night. It was clear from parts of the first half and definitely soon after second half started that our tactic was being nullified and just wasn't working. He made the triple change eventually but he needed to be bolder. I fear Maresca is so risk-averse he won't ever gamble on something mildly different. For a side that had such a good defensive record for majority of the season, we've now conceded 9 in 11 games. Even if he wanted to stick with the formation, there's a time to perhaps go back to basics and keep things simple, for example don't allow your CBs to go bombing forward and leave a big gaping hole in a defence which isn't blessed with pace. Don't be so perfectionist and hope for the exquisite goal after X amount of passes - develop a more 'shoot on sight' policy. We have the players that are capable, but we don't use them. At least mix it up a bit and make things less predicable for the opposition.

Unbelievable refereeing. Linesman should be seeing that it's outside the box if he doesn't see the handball. Rubbish.
-
West Brom just got a penalty for the ball hitting a players head outside the box
-
Yep, bodes well for us at the moment in that they have something to play for.

Just needs another person walking in ahead of them as Ipswich to complete it
-
Not necessarily, considering other teams have also dropped enough points to not be better than us. So if anything, it just emphasises a) how well we did in the first half of the season and b) how badly other teams are doing/have done. It's shambolic by our own standards, but I wouldn't say we don't deserve promotion because of it.

Surround him with better/creative players and he'll flourish. Overall he's been superb. Had a bit of a patch where he became ineffective but could have been a factor of fatigue or other players missing. He and Ricardo form a great partnership in midfield.
-
This guy needs a break out of the side. Not only for his own good but give Coady more of a regular chance in the team?
-
Coventry could easily win all their games barring the Ipswich one, hope Norwich lose enough to get to 6th, and then we don't win enough. It's not like it's only Coventry vs Ipswich as the only fixture left.

Is this the most stressful season as a Leicester fan ?
StanSP replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's up there. Although, maybe not stressful considering how far we blasted ahead up to Jan/Feb. It's perhaps one of the most frustrating considering the situation we find ourselves in though. Frustrating that we just haven't finished the job off and piling on the pressure on ourselves for no reason.
