Why do footballers do shit like that? I get Woodburn is frustrated with the decision, it was soft and he probably should have had a goal, but take a deep breath and move on. Its no reason to clatter and potentially injure another player. Ricardo didn't rule out the goal, he wasn't even the player involved. Channel the frustration into trying to get the goal you were denied.

The battle when he was injured was to get back playing, he had a target and achieved that. The target when he got back playing was to regain some fitness and climb the rankings and he achieved that. Next was to prove he can compete with some of the best which he did again. Then it was to prove he could consistently do all that, and thats something he's not managed and has been trying for sometime to achieve. Even the most determined amongst us would lose motivation after that.

These new having a go the ref rules need to be consistent. Player sent off last week for putting his arms out and shrugging at the ref, nothing there for Trippier pointing his finger at the refs face.

The red cards for Bellegarde and Rodri yesterday were (by the letter of the law) correct decisions but the reaction of Gibbs-White and Lockyer made them look much worse. In Lockyers case he gripped Bellegarde with his legs until he got annoyed and tried to push him off. Not even a booking for Lockyer.
