3 losses in a row, 2 red cards and one 8 goals conceded.
We are already down now IMHO, but if he's still in charge for the next game, there's really nothing left to hang on to this season. If there even has been for a while now.

And we play them again in a few days
I'd genuinely just take an automatic 3-0 loss at this point. Would be less embarrassing.

I'm going to sound dramatic, but I think that's the nail in the coffin. Going into this run of games, that is a piledriver to the confidence. We're buried.
-
And so it was written. ****.

Look at that pressure and attacking intent from Southampton in the second half. Why the hell can't we play more than 45 minutes of football? It can't be fitness...it's got to be a mentality thing, surely.

They're going to win this 'n' all, aren't they.
-
As soon as they scored the first you could see this coming. FFS. Just when you start to hope a little...

That is completely on King. Went defensive, invited pressure, lo and behold we concede two more.
This club is an embarrassment.

You think 5 wins 3 draws and 7 losses from 15 games in unachievable? Aka a shade over 1 ppg?
**** me. Grow a spine and pair of balls.
Where do you see those draws, let alone wins, coming from? We haven't won in 5 games, 4 losses on the trot, and haven't kept a clean sheet in 25(?) league games. Please share, because anything to spark some optimism or hope right now is desperately welcome.

Richards looked fxxking massive when he came on. Start him up front.
I thought this too! And quick to boot. Start him up front and there'd actually be someone to try and get on the end of any crosses/passes Mavididi and Fatawu manage to get into or just ahead of the box...seems a very simple thing to test out...

Just what we need during a crisis, a nice little tryer.
At least he tries. There's precious few in this squad who do, and that's why we look so ****ing awful.

And play who? Which manager that we’ve been linked with makes a difference
We've got to try something new and put Richards up front or something. I even thought Daka, for the little he did, at least pressed! As for BDCR, we have Page and now Makusa available to play there. They cannot be worse.
No manager I would want long term is going to come right now, so maybe Rowett, Dean Smith, just someone with experience galvanising a group fighting against relegation...I don't honestly know who would actually come now. It's no longer just a poisoned chalice, it's gone full toxic if you ask me.

Correct, he does actually look like with some sharpness he could eventually contribute to us finally go a game without conceding a goal.
Wait...you mean we don't have to concede every game?!

I think Nelson and Lascelles could form a good partnership. But they don't have the full backs or goalkeeper to support them.

Hire a ****ing manager and sack off players like Reid and Ayew.
Once again, I also can't believe we didn't sign a striker. What the hell is this club thinking.

That's that then.

Well at least Bobby can't play the next game...I guess.

Now we know our situation, we need someone in quickly. Interim manager will do. Keep us up, and reassess our situation once we're safe. Skubala isn't going to come here right now. A long-term manager probably isn't going to come here right now. We need solidity, we need graft, and we need to use this to build a siege mentality in the squad. Not just a "we're better than this", but a "we're better than this, and we're going to show everyone we are better than this".
Boy do I wish we could have Pearson of old right now.

Northampton is in a bad place atm, fans are begging for Nolan to get sacked and a change in ownership
Nice to know he's still gaining some relevant experience he can bring back to the club then, even if he's not playing

Diabate has joined Alavés in La Liga, not a Saudi side after all! Looks to have joined on loan, too.
-
Guys, it's fine. We mainly wanted him for his presence in the dressing room, right? This'll give him more time for that.
-
We can't possibly have made the same mistake twice and missed a deadline like this again, can we? At that point it's giving incompetence a bad name.

I don't think I have ever seen an under 21 player signed on loan to just play in the under 21s
Weirdly I think Ipswich have actually done that earlier today...from Chelsea even, I think?
Edit: Ignore me, I can't find evidence of that now...I must have hallucinated 😵💫

Starting to think Mukasa could be the one who will be deployed as a striker.
If you’re stuck to the loan market, then you’re severely limiting your options. Looking across the main leagues in Europe, the potential options for a loan striker are very underwhelming. Your just looking at a bunch of players who have hardly scored this season.
La Liga - Sheraldo Becker 🤷♂️ Takuma Asano 🤷♂️ but they are probably better as wide players.
Serie A - Best bet is probably a Udinese striker, but doubt they’d loan to us.
Ligue 1 - Not many options apart from maybe a Lorient striker.Bundesliga - Samuel Essende 🤷♂️ while you have a cluster of youngsters not getting much game time.
Outside of those - Sam Lammers(Twente), Cyle Larin(Feyenoord/Mallorca), Myron Boadu(PSV), Deniz Gul(Porto), Kelechi Iheanacho
, some has-been from Turkey.
If you’re looking at home, then Joel Piroe now seems unlikely, Chelsea seem to have zero interest in loaning out Marc Guiu, that just leaves you with Awoniyi or maybe being one of those clubs in the mix for Szmodics.
Awoniyi or Szmodics are probably the only ones out of that lot you'd say then. Think Guiu has already played for Sunderland and Chelsea this season...

League One

5 losses in 6. I'm not sure the last time that happened to us at this level. Maybe under Sousa?
I'm at loss for the future of this club. League One is going to kill us financially, and with the current squad we'll only keep falling further.
