Maresca wins the playoffs and wins the FA Cup this season, Leicester City start next year's Prem season playing Europa League football.

AND then you woke up.
I do NOT recall giving you a set of keys to my house...let alone my dream journal!!!

The thing that really irritates me about this "story" is that even though I know there is a) no chance this could have happened and b) if it has Maresca would rightfully tell Rudkin he has the wrong number...a teeny, tiny part of my brain is desperate enough to start contemplating the "what ifs" before I have a chance to squash it. And that way, madness lies.

Cartwright doesn't seem to be starting matches much, if at all...is it worth bringing him back?

Was it Top?

He's come on as a sub to replace Haaaland a few times, and reading up on him, he can play as a striker. Described mostly as an attacking midfielder. Could be used as a shadow striker type player, perhaps?

Would actually offer the leadership we sorely need tbh. Could be a great partner for Nelson. That being said, if he's barely played in 2 years, that's...not exactly ideal.
Â
...then again, he's probably run more this season warming up on the touchline than most of our players have on the pitch...so can only be an improvement.

It's Martin isn't it. Nailed on. Not sure what I was expecting...

Signing a player too shit for a team that are nearly as shit as us

Joined Southampton when Glover was there
My first thought was that this is down to Glover's Southampton connections.
-
Barely played for Southampton this season. Weird signing.

Kingy's bingo card must be almost full now. Just a Lyndon Dykes hat-trick to seal the deal I reckon.

Excellent timing.Â
Okoli's going to get a rollicking in the dressing room.
Â
All we can do is hope not to concede any more goals.
Â
And we're cooked, btw. New manager will have to perform miracles with this diabolical squad.
By rollicking, do you mean "spa day pass". There's no accountability in that dressing room whatsoever. Completely agree with you, we are cooked. A poorly coached, unfit, uncaring, and threadbare squad. Top is utterly delusional.

0-2. Fun.

10 minutes added on. Not sure anyone wanted thatÂ

I appreciate Winks' inclusion is probably down to lack of personnel, but it also suggests he isn't off this window. Which is a shame. Oh well!

Coady is apparently playing as a holding midfielderÂ
I think he played there when he was younger. I'm basing that purely on ye olde Football Manager though 😅

Well at least we’ll know whether the key variable was Marti.Â
Good point actually!

Disappointed that Ayew is starting, but King's had very little time to affect any real change yet.
Â
Our midfield and bench are so threadbare, it's unreal. What a mess. Fingers crossed we can get something today, or at a minimum, show some ****ing effort. Let's aim for survival now, and go from there.

Michael Appleton is now free...to come in as assistant to Kingy 👀
-
He says he doesn't understand how we got relegated. There was supposedly an internal review conducted to get to the bottom of why. Assuming it was ever actually done, he's clearly not aware of the outcome then 🙄. How great to have such a clued up Chairman.
Â
(And yes, I am aware Rudkin will have lead it and seemingly come to the conclusion that Stowell and a few others should be sacked... effectively to save himself from the spotlight)

He doesn't know the club. He was here for 10 minutes about 25 years ago. There is literally nothing about this club that was the same 25 years ago.

Yeah that's an entirely fair point, sorry. Like the rest of us, I think I'm just tired and grasping at strawsÂ

If this was until the end of the season...maybe? Normally I'd say I don't think he's of the quality we require right now...but honestly beggars can't be choosers, and he knows the club, so...
Â
Genuinely no idea if that would be a sensible appointment or not, given he's only recently been sacked by...*checks notes*...Oxford.

Give us a break, we've got to manufacture some sort of light relief from this season's misery 😅.
