I'd like to think he'd do damage at L1 level, but I thought the same about the Championship this season.
For a few million, this would be good for all parties I reckon. He needs a fresh start, and we need a whole new team (barring youth and Souttar).

last thing he needs to say is that he’s going to splash the cash… doubles the price on everything..
Oh no I agree, the conversation I think I am recalling was fans asking if he was willing to invest in the club, and he didn't say he would. I don't expect him to throw money at this, and I honestly think that would be a mistake anyway. If he did invest money, I'd rather it be on sorting the existing shit out first before moving on to new signings. Invest in a good manager with potential, and the right staff to turn the club around.

Some fans spoke to him outside the stadium after we got relegated, didn't they? From what I can vaguely recall he was a bit non-committal about putting money into the club himself...but I could be wrong. I wouldn't hold out much hope on that front anyway. Think it's all going to need to be funded by sales...if that even keeps our heads above water.

This in a nutshell is why this place is just a rotten place to be right now.
Yet if the club had posted him off with no fanfare it would have been, “sUch pOor tAste frOm tHe clUb!!!”
I understand what you're saying, but it's still a valid point given the club comms of late.

Probably still one of my favourite players. Incredible player in his prime, he felt unbeatable. You always felt you had a threat running from deep with Ricky P on the pitch, and he wasn't shy of putting in some great tackles too. His season under Maresca felt like a renaissance, and I was so excited to see him play in that position in the PL. Sadly Cooper couldn't coach that, so he was quickly discarded—probably because (as we've seen this season) he's just not as capable in the full back positions as he once was. I also don't think he was the right figure to be the Captain this season...but I won't blame him for being proud to take on the armband.
I'll miss him. So long, Ricky. Good luck, and hope your next club loves you as much as we have.

After vardy ricardo has been my favourite player for a long time, love the man! Shame it ends like this, also could this not have been put out before the last home game for the fans to say bye properly? Owell thanks ricky and good luck!

The point from @mr wright is why I agree with you, @Wasyls Pec Deck.
And I don't think I'm being remotely cynical in thinking that way.

What utter bollocks by Rowett. So none of the youth players are deserving a chance compared to the usual suspects? Otchere, Briggs, and Hutchinson have all been contributing to positive performances for the U21s. What exactly is it they have to do to "earn the right" to a first team appearance (in what will be a dead rubber game)?
Complete horseshit from Rowett. What a waste of time his stint at the club has been.

Went on to say he knows what he’s got to do this pre season and how important his loan move has been
For those looking for the interview:
You could see it as damning of youth players having a sense of entitlement, as @BKLFox suggests. However, I think Evans' framing here is more a self-reflection and criticism of himself. Sounds grounded and realistic, with a determination to do what's needed to play for us.
Here's to Evans doing a KDH, working hard in the "off-season", killing it in in pre-season, and making a genuine impact in our League One campaign. We need more players with that hunger to do well, and learn from their mistakes.

I reallllllly hope there's some truth in this, and better yet, a possibility of it happening.
No idea if Schreuder's style would work for us, but dammit I'd like to try something that isn't the flaccid style of possession football we've been failing to play since Enzo left.
It does seem like the ideal time to bring a manager in who can completely shape an identity, culture, and playing style. Lots of players out of contact or certain to leave. We just need to be able to bring in the right players for the manager, and hope the style works...
A lot of risk, but it would be fun. Which makes a change for our club of late.

Heard from my source at the club there was an unknown bald bloke at the club a few days ago. Only reason I know is because my friend asked me if I was interviewing for the job (I’m bald lmao) it was just harmless banter between 2 friends
Bold of him to make assumptions like that 👀

What the hell is Rowett thinking bringing Winks on. I take it JJ isn't fit enough or something for the full 90!?
And of course the mood shifts, and soon after we concede. FFS. -
I don't get it, what did Mukasa do to get so much hate, and accusations for arrogance?
I know he hasn't played well of late, but...have I missed something?
-
This may be a terrible shout, but for some experience and leadership, do we think Matty James might come back? He has been a big part of Wrexham's side this year, but he'll only have a year left to run on his contract, and you'd imagine they'll go all out for promotion next season. He might be a casualty.
Then again, I doubt he'd want to drop down a league again.

I wonder what the Leicester City admin genuinely thinks about the social media recently!
It’s evident that they’re being guided from people above to release every post and things have to be club sanitised but they must self consciously wince at having to release posts like this and the end of season debacle!
Especially if they’re a Leicester fan, which tbf they’re probably notAt this point I honestly think not being a fan is part of the club's hiring criteria.

This is cynical. Our title winners deserve better than to be treated as pawns like this.
The players have a lot to answer for this season, but this...this shows you what the club actually thinks of us as fans.

It’s strange there’s been no official announcement that’s McCarron has startedBut he has apparently started, he’s been seen working from the training ground this week, and seen at yesterday’s game
so clearly he’s not changed his mind, and appeared to have started.
Oh has he? Thanks for the heads up, that's a bit of a relief then. Where did you see/hear that?

One thing about Rowett is he won't be getting a pay off. Other managers have to stay quiet to keep their pay off. He can let rip.
Guy's clearly out of his depth, but hopefully he's more honest about what this squad is really like.
This reads as if he's given up on them. Calling out their professionalism.

I don't see how we even compete in League One. 90% of our team will leave, either due to contracts expiring, or wanting/needing to be sold. To be fair, I think most of us want to see the back of them anyway.
However, that leaves us with youth players, and those we can't get rid of on £40-60k a week wages (I'm hazarding a guess).
I'd say we could build on our youth, but why would any of them want to stay? Monga is as good as gone, and I am genuinely not sure we have a chance of retaining Nelson, Aluko, Evans and the like in our current state.
Maybe I'm being excessively negative, but I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's bleak!

Getting out league 1 isn't as difficult as 10 years ago. We are a million times bigger and more attractive than all the clubs down there, including Sheffield Wednesday. . We can legitimately scoop up the best talent of every club if we wanted. This isn't 2008. We just need a competent coach. The players to get us up will come.
I would love to believe this, but there's little evidence. 90% of our squad will be gone next season. Which I for one am actually looking forward to, quite frankly. However, that means probably replacing a good 10-12 players. There is no way we have the money for that, with Macquarie breathing down our necks.
Also, who is hiring the competent coach? Rudkin and Aiyawatt won't do that. You'd think it would be Mccarron once he's in, but I have a sneaking suspicion he has changed his mind. He was supposed to start beginning of April, and we've heard nothing.
-
Awful. He's done nothing, and arguably less than Cifuentes after binning off our youth and coaching quality out of any that had a spark of it.
Fatawu and Mukasa in particular have regressed under him. Can't think of a single player (maybe Thomas?) that has even marginally improved.
Counting down the days until he's gone, along with most of this horrendous squad.

Beyond predictable. We knew were gone, but now it's too late.

That's good news for them (and him). Last I checked there were suggestions he was out injured.
