I went with 10th on the inter league game, beginning to think I was a bit pessimistic.

The people in charge asked for our trust, fair play to the owners they are delivering on their pledge,  the little club mindset I was brought up on might be heading for the dustbin of history...  dare to dream....special days..

 

Most of my 'mates' down here are Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal fans. I've told them about our owners and the clubs ambitions and they've all laughed in my face. They really do see us as a tin pot club and I'd piss myself laughing if we pushed on and had a great season. I saw the surprise in their face at the end of last season and the start of this - we're starting to get noticed and taken seriously at last. I also predicted 8th this year and everyone thought I was mad. My only 'slight' concern is the amount of change that's happened and I hope this doesn't rock the boat too much. Lots of new faces to be integrated into the squad and lots of popular players now left. Claudio has a big job to maintain the team spirit and unity and get the new players to reach their potential. The future is exciting if it all comes off and fair play to the owners for putting their money where their mouth is.

Lots of people claiming top 8 this or top 10 that. I just want us to get to 40 points ASAP! Can't see us breaking into the top 8 tbh. If you got past 'the big 6' then you've still got Stoke, Palace, Saints and Swansea with a better chance than us to be top 8. Maybe we can sneak past one of those into the top 10 but I'll just be happy to have at least three teams below us for the whole season.

Really pleased with the signings so far and I'm loving watching us play. It's been brilliant since April and only got better at the start of this season.
