Vardy as an experienced player and a leader

I don't know about you but this aspect of Jamie Vardy's game hasn't been that obvious to me until recently, perhaps because all the talk has been about him learning, improving, and being mentored by others like Kevin Phillips when he was here. He also looks like a young lad and has at times, for better or worse, behaved like one too. But Vardy is 28, soon to be 29, so he is arguably approaching the twilight of his career.

During the Chelsea game I noticed how direct and vocal he was towards other players, telling them when and where to press and block the out balls to midfield. He instructs people where to pass to and where to make runs, and he tells anybody with the ball where he wants it played. His finishing this season is undoubtedly the best it has ever been, and many people point out how his energy and performances inspire others to up their game. He is starting to look like a leader on the pitch and someone who future newcomers can look up to and learn from. If we hang on to Vardy, do you see him as a candidate for staying on at the club and coaching younger strikers? Does he have that kind of character?

He's setting up his own 'academy', so it certainly seems like coaching is what he wants to go into after he hangs up his boots.

Given how hard he's worked on his own game over the last few years I'd love it if he stayed on as a striker coach, or with the youth team. Hopefully not for a fair few years yet, mind! :D

Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. The worry is does it show his "over-confidence" and does it mean he thinks he's "bigger than the club" and too good for us now? I wouldn't think he'd be so vocal in an England shirt
