Ranieri: "Performance was fantastic"

Why would anyone be against him? Shall we just disregard all of his interviews because he doesn't speak English fluently?

"take it with a pinch of salt" I said.

I really fail to see why people continue to place so much emphasis on what the manager says to the press. It's like people expect the honest truth and nothing but the truth. Managers say a lot of stuff that's nonsense, but they often do it for a reason.

You only have to watch his press conferences to know he talks nonsense quite a lot. "We're like the RAF whoosh", "Road Runner Beep Beep"... he uses the word "fantastic" about 20 times per conference.

I agree with CR to a great extent.

We changed the players and the formation and they did very badly in the first half. - We didn't press all over the field and we didn't try to atttack. I thought we were pretty good second half when we pushed up and attacked. Things didn't go for us and our pasing overall was substandard but if we'd played like that from the get go we could've won. On top of that Kasper had a poor game being beaten at the near post both times.

I really wouldn't worry too much about anything CR says as his only real priority is the players and how they perform ....   whatever he says to the media will bear absolutely no resemblance to what he says to them.  Why wash any dirty linen in public ...   and i agree.

Unfortunately, what we all know and now seems to be openly acknowledged in his comments, is the attitude in general to prem teams that the FA Cup doesn't really matter anymore and that the league is the only thing of importance.  Of course I can see why but if the FA cups only real use is to give competitive game time to squad players then for me thats  a very sad thing.    Great we saw how well our new signing was and how well Chilwell has come on ....  but winning the game was never a priority.    I don't know the answer but its just a shame.
