Mark Posted 30 August 2004 Posted 30 August 2004 So basically sacked. Awful decision. And for the second time Newcastle sack the manager a few days after he drops Alan Shearer Get him in here
Scow Posted 30 August 2004 Posted 30 August 2004 Not surprised - Pathetic decision to sack him at this stage of the season. I know Newcastle fans were not too happy with him, but he turned the club from bottom 3, to a side competing in the Champions League. I feel sorry for him, not a great way to end a brilliant career in football. <_<
Mark Posted 30 August 2004 Author Posted 30 August 2004 All the young stars he signed as well, they obviously have a great future and thats down to him. They already said it'll be his last season so why not let him see it out after all he's done?
Guest freund Posted 30 August 2004 Posted 30 August 2004 Apparently Gerrard Houllier might be taking over
Sparky Posted 30 August 2004 Posted 30 August 2004 houllier in till end of season with shearer as his number 2 , then shearer takes over i reckon
Ash Posted 30 August 2004 Posted 30 August 2004 The board was properly just pissed that Rooney didnt wanna know !
Guest freund Posted 30 August 2004 Posted 30 August 2004 Man U have had the worst start to a season for a long time, but will they sack ferguson after all he's done for them?
Guest Daniel Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 Well that post lacked alot of common sense. What has Bobby Robson ever won for Newcastle? Look at what Ferguson has won for United.

Titus Bramble, Darren Ambrose, Olivier Bernard, Lormana Lua Lua. YOUTH IS NOT A VIRTUE IN ITSELF. He has signed some great young players obviously, but he has nad an awful lot of money to spend and spoent it poor;y. He has not built a solid lookign squad, it is very top heavy and you could argue distinctly average without Alan Shearer. Personally I am not suprised byt he decision at all especially considering the changing room unrest and the behavious of their younger players. If they get Gerard Houllier in they are completely ****ing stupid though.
mad biker Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 Well hark at you all, saying how bad it is to sack a manager so soon into a season, the same negative, moaning, clue less "fans??????" that are calling for our own managers head ! typical.

mad biker Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 He does indeed, let me have a look at where Newcastle are in the league, errrrr !! oh yeah 17th
Cobbo Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 I couldn't care less how our football is played, it's the results that bother me. Couldn't give a flying fook if that's from hoofing it effectively or playing like 1970's Holland!
mad biker Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 I`ll echo that ! I`m no football purist either, why take 37 passes to hit the net, remember Derby, Walker, Scowcroft, Benjamin, GOAL, ahhhhh bliss
Ash Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 Id swap Sven with Robson anyday ! ROBSON FOR ENGLAND !!!
SilverFox Posted 1 September 2004 Posted 1 September 2004 Post edited because I have had a bad morning and won't take it out on anyone else!...which I had done. Needless to say Bobby Robson is a leg-end...Ferguson has always had the best of everything at soleless Man U. That all I've got to say about it
seagulls4ever Posted 1 September 2004 Posted 1 September 2004 He was allways going to leave stage some stage through the season after the chairman anounced his conract would not be renewed. He should never anouced it, the same thing happend at Southamption with Gordan.
Oli Posted 1 September 2004 Posted 1 September 2004 Thank god he has gone from Newcastle. And scowy how were they a bottom three club when he took over? they finished 14th the season before! He falls out with his players to often!! great discission freddy shepheard!

Newcastle were in the bottom 3 when he took over, and despite that he delivered champions league football. He also was within a whisker of taking England to a world cup final and IMO he would have won it if he did. I could spout a list of his great achievements but I would not have the time to write it here and do it justice. And as for falling out with his players...I take it you mean that little w@nker Dier who refused to play for his club. Dier who also once tried to get the team coach to turn around on the way to a game because he 'forgot his diamond earings'...doesn't that say something about the type of person he is...little $hit! Sounds to me like you have been 'relieved' of your braincells.

Near enough the same posistion they are in now. I know alot of Newcastle fans who wanted him out. He has done nothing for them over the last season. And silverfox it is DYER not Dier. And he has fell out with Laurent Robert, Craig Bellamy, Alan Shearer, Nikos Dabizas and quite alot more. So check your facts!

You don't know that unless you're a friend of Bobby Robson or the player's involved, so it can't be a 'fact'. Just speculated journalism you're relying on for this information. The point is though, they were in the bottom 3 at the time, you disputed that.
Oli Posted 2 September 2004 Posted 2 September 2004 Okay then i was wrong for that point. But i was saying they were right to sack him now, do you think he is the right man to take the club forward now? I dont think so, he has done all he can. I dont dislike him i just thought he should go because he has done all he can do. I thought he WAS a great manager but not now.
Guest freund Posted 2 September 2004 Posted 2 September 2004 did you know bobby robson has/had mouth cancer
