Scow Posted 17 September 2005 Posted 17 September 2005 Douglas - 7 Nothing to do, claimed crosses confidently. Maybury - 6 Defended well, nothing going forward. McCarthy - 7 Solid, won most things in the air, less rash. Dublin - 7 Organised the back line effectively. Johansson - 6 Caught out for pace once in the first half, but generally solid. Like Maybury, didn't go forward much at all. Gudjonsson - 7 Battled away well and did what was required of him. Kisnorbo - 5 Looks short of match fitness. looked a little slow and didn't offer us anything. Hughes - 5 Looks knackered and off the pace. Hardly surprising. Sylla - 6 Started off brightly, but faded as the game wore on. Hammill - 5 Anonymous. Some decent crosses from deadball situations though. de Vries - 5 Static and ineffective. Can't be arsed with the subs. No Jase, no fair.

I agree with most of this although maybe Sylla gets a 5 - due to him not looking as though he was bothered, had no ideas and didnt do anything effective in the game.
Ric Flair Posted 19 September 2005 Posted 19 September 2005 Douglas 6 - Had nothing to do other than claim a few crosses and count how many c*nts were in the crowd. He got bored at 23,000 Maybury 6 - Average, didn't have alot to do but got stuck in Nils 6 - Thought Nils was a rock at left back, not that he needed to be. Got forward a few times aswell. Dublin 6 - Didn't have alot to do, but gave the ball away when he had it. Special guy. McCarthy 6 - Should never have been booked, not that I can remember so I don't know what i'm talking about Sylla 5 - Couldn't be arsed again. Skinned Naylor a few times in the second half but must of had a few quid on 0-0 Kisnorbo 6 - He's a battler and fitted in well in to this style of game. Hope he doesn't get called upon to play a similar role EVER again. Fairly impressed with his talents though Gudjonsson 7 - Immense, carried the whole team. Like trying to flog a dead horse but he nearly sold it at one point, cracking long range effort. Never stopped running and tackling, proud of him. Hughes 5 - Looked poor compared to his peformance against Sheff Wed. Didn't offer de Vries any service, he missed Williams through balls. Hamill 4 - Awful, truely awful. Looked scared when he had the ball and offered us nothing. Piss poor. de Vries 6 - Tried his best, but looks an absolite donkey on his own. Infact he was the dead horse Gudjonsson was trying to flog. Subs: HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUME 6 - Looked sharp, but isn't going to do alot up on his own. Well done Craig Elvis 6 - I bet he was over the moon he got a minute or so. Levein must have been seething when the official awarded 3 extra minutes. He must have been shitting himself that we had 2 strikers on for 4 whole minutes.
