Balj Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Ok so Rustie Lee is a Blue and Phil Cornwell (voice of Gilbert) is a Spur. Best 10 mins of the day
Babylon Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Rustie Lee was a "Mark McGhee" fan, rather than a Leicester fan... don't have a clue why.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Always tell me mam she looks like a white Rustie Lee. Proper riles her up, like.
Balj Posted 27 April 2016 Author Posted 27 April 2016 Rustie Lees a Brum fan. Nah - she's always been Leicester. She lives in Handsworth and rumoured to be a Baggies fan but she is Leicester. Seen her at games over the years.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03hv87g What makes it more poignant is Gilbert's love of Engelbert Humperdinck's records - another Leicester supporter!
Dennis118555 Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 She's definitely city, she was there week in/out during the filbert street days! You could spot her a mile off, and hear her laugh
fazzyfox Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 She was the "Surprise celebrity guest" to do the half time raffle draw for what seemed like every second home game in the 80's. Remember her regular cooking slot on a saturday morning show well, all would start calm and normal, "today I'm going to bake some lovely scones" but then "I'll just add some sherry to the mixture", followed by "ooh look there's some left, waste not want not" and then chaos, once she started laughing that was it, spillages everywhere, scones on fire, camera crew pissing themselves laughing, guests covered in flour, didn't see one successfully cooked dish in years. Apparently the Muppets based the Swedish Chef on her!
