Leicester Rule! Posted 20 September 2005 Posted 20 September 2005 Did anyone see what happened in the Blackpool area during the second half when loads of stewards got involed in a tussel with a crazy fan. Does anyone know if this is why the concorse closed for their fans in the second half because something kicked off?
Cobbo Posted 20 September 2005 Posted 20 September 2005 Ask one of the fans that were sat near the away end.
SystonFox Posted 21 September 2005 Posted 21 September 2005 i thought the east stand and the family stand were closed? so there wouldnt have been a city fan anywhere near them? or so BBC RL commentary team said. how many blackpool fans were there?
C-man Posted 21 September 2005 Posted 21 September 2005 I dont know what the fan was on about, but there was a small fire on the concourse apparently. Well thats what the steward told us anyway

davieG Posted 21 September 2005 Posted 21 September 2005 According to Buzz not Buzz on the Fox site this is what happened: Apparently. Just spoken with a Blackpool fan who reckoned all that that stuff in the away end was 'cos of one bloke having a ciggie. Jesus, what, 300 people in a 3000 capacity away end (and forced into one block despite their apparent desire to spread out), at what point does some sort of common sense come into play? How many stewards/secutity guys did it take? They made the old West Mids Police force look like paragons of restraint. Backed up by ithuriel from what ive heard via stewards in the away section a load of army lads from b,pool came to watch the match.one lit a ciggie and was asked to put it out. he refused so they tried to eject him.he then punched the steward trying to evict him and all hell broke loose. lush Posted 21 September 2005 Posted 21 September 2005 From a distance, I thought some of them just got bored and decided to have a scrap. yeah i thought that. wheres the smoking/non smoking thread debate?
cisono Posted 21 September 2005 Posted 21 September 2005 yeah i thought that. wheres the smoking/non smoking thread debate? I don't know... haven't seen it. If you find it, please let me know - I'd like to join in. If there isn't one, I'll gladly start it. Smoking spoils my game watching experience!!!
markj12 Posted 21 September 2005 Posted 21 September 2005 stupid of them, they should not fight. i was told today that the concorse was closed 'cause of a power cut.
