Thracian Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 Haha I know, the chap has got one thing right out of about 25 rumours he's posted on there in the past few months. I'd be very surprised if any of it is true let alone all of it. The one thing that does worry me is the fact that Levein won't take alot of shit and if he's unhappy and the fans are then he'll bail. Getting a reputation as a quitter won't help Levein. He should ring MON and ask how he dealt with fans unrest after his winless opening spell. Basically fans are happy when you win, miserable when you lose. It goes with the territory. Levein should understand that. Plenty of fans are defending him and flying the flag for common sense. It might be bright if he listened to what some of em say. Stability is probably the most important thing. In the team and in the club. And a new coach - we really need someone who can instil ideas. I'd be much happier if some of the knockers started making useful suggestions rather than simply saying Levein out and trying to immediately undo the useful work that has been done. The board shouldn't wilt either. If they have a chat with a view to trying to help improve matters then fine - Levein should not be above listening - but they should give Levein unequivocal support - and for a good while yet.
Thracian Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 So your saying that if we were top of the league we'd be getting the same gates? Bollocks! You can stick another 3000-5000 on our average thats a guarantee. Sacking your manager may not get you higher gates but it will stop them getting any lower! How do you know that, then?
Head Honcho Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 How do you know that, then? So you dont think that if we were winning more games we'd be getting bigger crowds?
Babylon Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 So you dont think that if we were winning more games we'd be getting bigger crowds? So you think getting a new manager guarantees we will win more games? Ask forest, sheff wednesday, winmbledon fans if that's the case.
Head Honcho Posted 26 September 2005 Posted 26 September 2005 Errrm hello.... so your saying a new manager guarantees us better results then??? And it guarantees we will be top of the league?? Cuckoo. For the record i want Levein to stay,i was just pointing out how the board look at it. There are no guarantees in this game thats a fact, but when our gates get too low the Board will only look in one direction. I know what your getting at,I was just playing Devil's Advocate.

Furry muff. The board stated they were willing to stand by Micky Adams, which in turn means they should also support Levein considering we are in pretty much the same position. In fact a better position as our squads value is no longer £0.

I totally agree with you which is why i said on my original post that the fans must keep going to the games no matter how dire it is at times. Otherwise the board will not let him finish his three year plan.
