I hope so. This is a potentially dynamic project which could have far-reaching consequences for the health of our economy and the feelgood factor within the UK  Plc.  

 

The sooner it happens the better. Government for the entire nation should be a flag waved by any administration.

I think the Northern powerhouse idea was a good one, spread some of the wealth about, take some of the strain off the South East. I hope it's not abandoned.

Well let's hope they don't forget the midlands, especially the East which the HS train seems to do with it's stop at Toten and not taking advantage of a direct stop at EMA

He doesn't have to - but he'll need to make a success of the project if he wishes to rebuild his credibility and give himself a future. Many people don't care for some of the work they have to do but still do their best whatever.

His constituency is in Cheshire, widely regarded as part of the north.
