Guest CityFan 06 Posted 21 October 2016 Posted 21 October 2016 I would like to see either of these two formations, certainly away from home. We ought to play King more in the CAM role with his finishing ability and distribution going forward. I feel Okazaki could flourish there as well for me, with his link up play, energy, and work rate. We have missed Okazaki's link between the midfield and forward line. Amartey could also drop back into the CDM role with this formation if required, as Drinkwater and King could fill the CM role. I'm looking forward to Mendy being back, as he could be a real find for us I think. We've still got James to come back too. Albrighton needs to play on the right more often as it would mean he could get the crosses in on his natural foot, without having to cut inside. The only thing about that is, Fuchs and Albrighton have a good partnership on the left wing. Musa is also a very good option to have, as he can cover the wide areas and play through the middle. Add to that the options of Schlupp and Kapustka too. 4-3-3 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Drinkwater Amartey King / Okazaki Mahrez Musa / Gray Vardy / Slimani 4-3-3 Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Drinkwater Amartey King / Okazaki Albrighton Mahrez Vardy / Slimani
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 Ranieri, the players & management deserve praise today. Got the tactics right, and the formation suited some players particularly better. A refreshing change in system.
Monsell1976 Posted 31 December 2016 Posted 31 December 2016 It has to change opponent by opponent, not this one size fits all we currently have. With our shocking away form, I would be playing 3-5-2, or 4-5-1, pack the midfield, and be hard to beat.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 7 January 2017 Posted 7 January 2017 I make that three formation changes now, within this short space of time. As a result, we've seemed to of become more solid defensively. Pleasing. Also gives us the opportunities to utilise our squad to their best positions too.
