Another thing that pissed me off tonight was the boos at the end of the first half and at the end of the game. There was no need, even if it was a minority of fans.

We'd dominated the game but couldn't finish our chances, and looked slightly clueless in the last third. But the players gave it their all and we were unlucky. Certainly didn't deserve to be booed.

For the ref

How often has that happened?. So many times it is way beyond bad luck.

If you had toothache would you see a mechanic?

If you wanted bread would you go to a shoeshop?.

Why then do we start a season with no specialist 18-22 goals a season strikers?

And no-one (except Hume signed later) with a record of scoring regularly from midfield.

If Leicester City was in a horse race it'd be the equivalent of carrying Daniel Lambert as a handicap.

Just a few points I thought I'd add to the whole discussion. I tend just to browse the discussions but I spotted a few good points and thought I'd have my twopence. I think we need to give Levein's side a lot more time. A lot of the players are very young, a lot more of them won't even have moved into their houses yet, let alone got to know one another and got to know Levein. So long as he starts trying to form a settled side I think we'll be able to extend our 'patches' of good play. The problem is, he needs to start asking himself whether some of our regulars who appear to be doing okay are really the sort of material to build a side around. Dublin, for instance, has done fine, but he's not going to form part of the backbone of a new Leicester team. The same goes for Williams, who is lazy and inconsistent, and possibly even De Vries, Kisnorbo, Tiatto and Johansson, who seems especially indecisive and accident-prone, even though he's obviously a decent player. Some players settle in quicker than others and you can't keep being patient, because at this rate we'll be stuck in a relegation dogfight. So let's get a settled team, kick the crap out and - most importantly - play players in their natural positions. We had four or five out of position on Tuesday.

Finally, has everyone forgotten that Tiatto played half of his career as a left-back? And Gerrbrand can play there too. And if we're worrying about the lack of goals, why not sort out the set-pieces which we currently leave to Williams to waste? Apparently Joe Hammill puts in a mean free kick, and he scores a few. So if we need midfielders who score and provide dangerous set pieces, not to mention a left-winger who'll be in position, why not him?

I agree. I was very disappointed to hear that. End of this season at least. I would like to give him until Christmas next year (2006).

Tiatto is really rubbish! I don't like McCarthy either. We have some good players in the team though. Sad to hear the Douglas is out because i have been very happy wth him so far, Stearman is good but didn't play too well in the first half, improved in the second. Johansson is good and we've got Sheehan coming through. Hughes and Williams are 2 good players. Sylla can play well when he tries and Gudjonssen is ok. Still think we could do a lot better than Gudjonssen though. He makes mistakes but he's ok. Hume is looking very good but he needs to be less selfish when he's got the ball. Elvis is quick and could be very good for us. I'm a de Vries fan. I think people are very harsh on him. I think we (Craig) should pick a team against Derby and stick with it for at least 6 games.

Some interesting points but Tiatto is a liability at left-back - he's not a patch on Sheehan (who also takes decent free kicks and can pass well) and is likely to be booked every match (he was lucky not to be sent off last night at one stage).

I'd have seen nothing much wrong with playing Hammill on the left flank last night instead of Tiatto and that would have probably swung the balance.

I also agree on the six you mention. Pretty soon they've gotta move on and leave the stage clear for the young bloods like Weso and Chambers.

Fantastic!

Anothy bl**dy poll asking if Levien should go now. It's been said about a zillion times on here on the last week alone, there's no point in getting rid of him now because theres nobody out there who would be better and we have no money. Even the 'CL out now' crew don't seem able to agree on what the club should do instead.

Why do we keep asking the question again and again? We're all frustrated, but endless polls llike this one aren't going to reduce that frustration.
