Besides, plenty of successful people would exhibit some traits of NPD, within reason it can be a useful trait for a leader to have. The issue is that trump, a man who in the campaign trail bragged about how much more humble he was than others, is not exhibiting moderate traits, his career  and his reactions to criticism have always shown observable narcissistic traits. The issue is a man who is so self absorbed and takes such offence at any suggestion he isn't always right or brilliant, and retaliates quite viciously, is a bit dangerous.

 Being Narcissistic isn't exclusive to people with a personality disorder  

 

Putin , Blair , Bush, Sarkosy, most of the leaders in africa , possibly many of the worlds biggest companies CEO's will all have Narcissistic tendencies !

 

there are dozens of posters on here , maybe more who would fall into the same category.

 

But diagnosing a man with a personality disorder based on media persona and a ruthless election campaign is not possible , unethical and possibly dangerous. 

 

The media wanted him to seem like a mad man , the truth is he is driven , focused and successful , and his personality traits have brought him that.
