OH no not another CL whinge! well ...NO not really

OK, so its all been said a million times, IN! OUT! IN! OUT! ...(shake it all about!)

But lets be honest, there is a LOT of sense in letting the man get on with his job.. 3 year contract, club in complete turmoil prior to his arrival, mainly due to expensive old warhorses etc.

Yep he has done a GRRRREAT job in changing the age / cost etc when he arrived. After all that was the First thing he said he would do so a BIG TICK in that box.

He also said that HEarts would basically piss our league, hmm YEP they probably would now... but not playing the alleged turgid boring toss that they used to.

I think that the MOST Worrying thing is the lack of interesting footie and the lack of finishing and the leaky defence. Who of us ever beleives that we can hold a lead, come back and win OR simply finish a game off?? Nope me either.

one of the MOST worrying things is that people like Williams who has been unreliable at Best comes out and says that he and the boys are frustrated and should do better... too bleedin right.

If their heads are down and CL cant get them pumping and he being an alleged passionate man, then we really are sunk.

Yes Alex Ferguson, MON, and all the other examples of managers having success and promotion DID have 2/3 years to come good, but they also had money and transfer ability to change their squad and also I bet many of them KNEW what their players Could do and where to play them, something that CL has difficulty with.

I am not after lynching the guy, and sticking someone else in, BUT if you look at our squad we have YOUTH, PACE, and ABILITY in spades, take a look at Luton, Sheff U, Watford even, a team SO bad over the last few years that look reborn under their new manager.

Ian Dowies legendary turn about of 2 seasons ago, just DONT happen often, BUT who would rather see a passionate, tactically astute man to come in now and change the Attitudes of the players...perhaps not!

After all I think CL has done wonders to put a fairly decent young squad together, but I genuinely think they the Players have lost the BELIEF!!

Sod Faith, faith left the Walkers when Mickeh Adams did!

WE NEED BELIEF, and I dont mean us I mean the PLAYERS.

3 wins on the bounce and they will have it, but in this league!! there is NO form, NO predictability of where wins come from, its VERY equal.

Something needs to change in the dressing room, I don't know what, but its the MINDSET of the players in my honest, and humble opinion.

yep can agree with some of the points you raise. If you look at the experience of some of these players they havent had bad histories. They really need a sense of urgency and a desire to get involved - Williams being the biggest culprit. The skill he has its such a shame he doesnt apply himself as he should, as he would probably be one of our best players. They need to believe in themselves, each other and very soon if we are to start moving up. The longer we go on without a decent few wins, the harder it gets mentally for the players, managers, staff and everyone else concerned with the club.

The manager cant be blamed for everything as you rightly point out - the players should definitely be pulling their weight...

It's conceivable that he could lose the 'dressing room' because there is little consistency in his team selection other than lots of players out of position! MA lost is way before he went. I kinda figured though that it wouldn't happened to Levein. When he came in, my impression of him (based mainly on reputation) was that we were getting a tactically astute motivator who had unearthed some real gems for peanuts in the transfer market.

Its always bemused me why a manager gets blamed and utimately loses his job when his players continually underperform, I know he should be able to motivate/demand the best from them but when they get on the pitch its down to them in my book and should shoulder at least most of the blame.

The thing is there are alot of teams who don't do anything for years and then they have a good spell at a higher level and then drift back in to normality. That's what's happened with us and will happen with alot of teams and it's the harsh reality. We'll go through many, many managers trying to recapture our past glories under O'Neill and one day we'll have another good spell, but whether it's the luck of finding a decent manager or the foundations that's been set over a period of time.

The fact is that the likelyhood of us getting back in to the premiership with **** all money is quite slim, so it's time to face up to the fact that this club isn't really going anywhere fast. What we should expect though is that a manager will come in and improve this club, on and off the field even if it's only at a relatively slow pace. Is Levein doing that? On certain aspects yes he is. If he doesn't do it on others then a change of manager will be inevitable and the cycle starts again. The fans hoping this is the one to bring back the past heights, etc.

All I want is to be proud of my team again because I have faced up to the fact that this club won't reach the level of success we had in the 90's for a long time if ever in my lifetime. Therefore it's good to see homegrown players and it would be nice to see other players actually care about playing for Leicester, some look like they do, some don't.

We'll get it right one day, i'm sure. But for now it could be a long old slog, should we accept that? I think we've got no choice, look around you what do you see? This club isn't what it used to be and nobody can change that overnight unless your a multi-millionaire.

good point.

I was listening to the Crewe game, now there is a clun that sticks by its manager, but realises that they are never gonna be anywhere special, after all if they had ambition surely they would have got rid of Dario loads of times, but they just plod on sometimes doing well and others not, I wouldnt want to go that far, but living in Leeds I basically spent the whole of the MON era telling people here who had a go at me that we were fighting above our weight and that it was a glorious purple patch in our existence,

we are YO YO at best, for most of the 80s and 90s we werent even that, we were rooted to the 2nd Div as was, but we knew our place and hoped for better,

now it would appear that its premier or bust,

I would be happy winning the Championship every year!!

hey ho thats probably a lie, but there are either Too many young people on here OR we have short memories!!

I still hope for the Purple patches to return though!! SOOON!!

This might strike some of you as an odd thing to be concerned about, but when was the last time the players actually ran onto the pitch for kick off?

Whilst the opposition burst from the tunnel with urgency etc, our players casually stroll out as if they have all the time in the world.

It's not right.

It wouldn't be cheap for a club of Crewe's means to get rid of a manager with, as I understand it, a 10 year rolling contract even if they were daft enough to want to.

I believe he's also a director so one way or another, he's not very vulnerable anyway. And most folk recognise that, quite apart from being an excellent coach, he worked miracles at Crewe.

As for "if they had any ambition" I'd say they were already in territory they would never have trod in the next 100 years were it not for Dario.

If Levein ever thinks the constraints are tough at Leicester he should do a managerial exchange with the Crewe guy for a month or two.

As for Leicester's ambitions there's no reason whatever we shouldn't aspire to be a good top table side as we have been for decent periods of our history.

Whatever rung you are on, you try and climb the next two or three. That's the challenge and we can meet it if we'd only have the confidence to play our best attacking team.
