I’m sure the owners will take a lot of satisfaction from the new figures. Though the Champions League figures have skewed our overall position, I bet the owners have had the bean counters looking at the potential value of a decent Europa League run.

 

The ever increasing financial importance of TV revenue (from all competitions) has drastically reduced the importance of match-day revenues - and this is going to increase further as new global sports broadcasters join the bidding process.

 

I recon a big chunk of investment from the owners is coming...
