Man Utd are top but according to another report they are also the club in Europe with the highest amount of debt. Will be interesting to see where Leicester City are if that is taken into account.

"The analysis also shows that elite clubs are less reliant on income from fans attending home games than smaller rivals. The majority of European 20 richest clubs earn no more than a fifth of their income from 'matchday' revenues."

Interesting.

That is surely an obvious statements considering they are willing to let Sky move matches to shit times knowing it will impact attendance.

Shows that lowering prices wouldn’t have a big impact on the clubs.

Off topic, but I read all of your posts in Jez's voice because of your avatar. This one works particularly well I feel.

That’s not very Christmassy.

I thought that was his own picture.

You just got to love how journalists fail to see the difference between "revenue" and "value".

Earning he 14th biggest revenue in football doesn't equal us being the No.14 in the rich list.

Similar misconception with the Soccerex table a few weeks back.

The mot relevant post on here…. Undoubtedly we are significantly wealthier than we were before, but, it’s temporary…

We’ll be closer to our norm in a season or two

I know we get lost in the expectancy after 15-16 sometimes, but when things like this come out really puts into perspective how times have changed over the last 10 years.

Imagine being told when we lost 3-2 at Brighton in league one, 'Don't worry in 10 years we will have won the league and be the 14th richest club in the world!"

The doctors in white coats would have been out!

Dont like to be  party pooper, but we are not the 14th richest club in the world. Simply had the 14th highest revenue for the last financial year (case and point no Chelski in the top 20)

How on earth are Everton sustaining their spending when they are that far down the list

They have a much larger commercial revenue than us aswel./

We're outside the top 20 and below Southampton if you take out CL money.

Why would we be below Southampton, how much did they raise through the sale of players?

3 year record deal with Virgin

top 8

eurpoa league group stage

league cup final

Yeah, don't get too excited: anyone saying we're the 14th richest club is just bang wrong. It's only taking into account one season, in which we were in the Champions League and made more from that than any club bar Real Madrid (because everyone else in England got knocked out early, giving us a bigger share of the prize pot). Plus revenue is just that - not expenditure.
