Even if he or his agent asked the owner about the transfer (fee), which never happens btw, it still doesn't change a thing about us not having to sell.

I can ask my boss about his salary, but it has nothing to do with my existing contract. They are two separate things altogether.

And this is what you Algerians simply don't understand.

Riyad Mahrez is under contract and as long as he is a player contracted to the club, he's required to fulfill his part of the bargain - just like any other player.

What gives Riyad and/or his agent the right to revolt and make this a personal issue, not showing up for training?

Is this how Algerians fight alleged disrespect? By disrespecting a written obligation (which trumps oral agreements, I might add)? Shoddy logic.

By that same token, Algerian players can't be trusted because they'd rather throw a hissy fit instead of remaining professional and true to a legal document.

What you lot also don't realize is that without playing for us or the U23, Riyad's chances of playing for the national squad also diminishes with each week passing.

No national team manager will want to call up a player with no recent first team experience.

But hey, go ahead and make my day.

#freemehrez

Imagine that your boss promised you a promotion , you made efforts to get it ... but at the end the boss doesn't keep his words , I'm sure you will react similarly .

He respect the contract, he can't play for the moment because he suffers from a depression ... and the day he return to the training  , I see him suffering from imaginary ill before games like backach ,  sore feet/tigh ...

How you can generalise to all Algerians ?! it's an individual case,  everyone react differently

There is no important match, only friendly ones . This decision is up to the national coach.

Any significant football 'personality' who points the finger at City over this is making mischief and/or indulging themselves in untruths. After all, the 2015-16 season was mooted to change football - all that's happened is that the 'aristocracy' has closed ranks to keep the peasants from the high table.

Bring back the guillotine!

I dont disagree with your analysis cept to say... if man city knew mahrez was pushing for the move to them, then maybe thats why they tried to get away with a low offer. ... believing their star dust would get mahrez to firce it thru.

They made a tw at out if mahrez
