Pressman would have put his chances away

They aren't easy goals! Blackpool he got one from 35 yards out. The keeper was out but how many times do you see them missed? A lot.

Sheffield Wednesday he chested the ball down in the centre of the box, ran to the right and whacked it in the net.

In the same game, he scored a goal very similar to the goal last week. He slid in at the far post. Good goals.

I preferred Trev. Trev was funny. Also scored a few goals in this division. And fell over a lot.

Also, his kid was cool.

What more do u want?

I'm surposed to take you seriously when you say that am i?

You're right - this is CL's team. The way they are performing is due to CL, his coaches and his players.

His coaching staff obviously learn card tricks with the players in training rather than learn how to pass properly.

I dont understand why they keep playing the long ball aswell up to the smallest player on the pitch and the worst player in the air (hume and De Vries ) if dublin stayed on to play up front why not put a player who is better in the air who is more likley to create chances!

With two big men and two fast men up front we would have had a serious goal threat (they looked pretty threatening at the end) and Burnley may have weakened their midfield to combat it. Under your system, while we would have coped in midfield I think two fast forwards against four defenders would have been hard work, especially with neither being a target man type.

It is all conjecture anyway but the point I was trying to illustrate was that a manager must be willing and able to change his tactics according to the situation. I've seen no signs that Craig is particularly good at that.

I take your point there Thrach, as towards the end dubs came up and we nearly scored.

You know, its such a complex issue in deciding what the best formation is and who should play its no wonder craig has grey hair and glasses to help him see better ;) theres so many swings and roundabouts, for instance, you mention my formation would cope with their midfield, so maybe then once thats acheived my fast and skillfull attacking pair of hume and hammond would enlighten proceedings and cause upset in their defense, whada ya fink?

Totally agree, we must be able to change our style of play with a 34 man squad.

All i really think is that the two attackers need to talk to each other and give options to the midfield!!

Take it however you want mate.

Trev was and is a legend

de Vries is a poor man's Trev.

Not as good at scoring. Not as good at entertaining. Not as good at falling over.

He's certainly gotta work on that last bit. One or two of his attempts to con a free kick were comical. I would have said theatrical but that would certainly be novice theatrical. :)

I think we're all agreed that we should bring back Trev.

I told Levein he was a fool to get rid of Trev when I met him.

I didn't like Levein when I met him.

And this ^ is why managers don't listen to fans.

Well, when I spoke to him, he actually spent some of the time talking about himself in the third person.

He also had the same aloofness and detachedness from the cause that MA had. What I'm getting at there was that he commented a number of times on the fact that he is here because he is ambitious and wants to do well for himself etc, he has no link with the club like us fans do.

I can't sum it up actually but he just REALLY reminded me of Micky.

My overall impression of him was that he isn't as intelligent and clued up as people like to think. Just because he wears glasses and is softly spoken, doesn't make the man a mastermind. In my opinion, he'd be well suited to a role as Director of Football, away from the tactics and motivational side of things.

swisspiss"fox" is the same. TBF, fergie has no real link with mufc, but....

TBF, hes brought in good players. I can only think of de lump and gilbert not being good signings.

I dont think he has that steel about him that paul jewel and cotteral has, but then everyone is different, and i think hes better suited to the premiership with players who will adapt to his genre of play policy.

Its not difficult to see, that hes bringing in a certain type of quality.
