MADLEVEIN Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 did he deserve the treatment he got on tuesday, my opinion is he was signed by a twat for five million not really akinbiyis fault. he then wore the blue shirt with pride and passion and gave 100% every game, i know he was crap and agree with him being one of our worst signings ever but did he really deserve to be booed as he did while frank " own goal, drag the club throught the shit" sinclair gets a raptous welcome ???
Jon the Hat Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 I guess he takes a lot of flak for the fan's frustration at the money wasted by Taylor. But like you say not his fault. He certainly tried. Too hard most of the time. It was painful to watch. I take it he looks more relaxed these days?
PRIOR09 Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 Sinclair was part of the most succesful teams in the clubs history and was a good servant to the club.

In my opinion neither player deserved abuse or applause, they were both no more than average at best and got more out of the club than they put in. Applause should be reserved for the likes of Claridge, Walshy et al- legends not for the Sinclairs of this world Abuse, well save it all for Wise Every other average 2-bit nonentity should be politely ignored.
Oli Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 Sinclair was a quality defender and I wish he was still with us. Gave every thing he could, and like Prior09 said he was part of our most succesful team.
The People's Hero Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 Akinbiyi is just a poor man's Trevor Benjamin. de Vries, in turn, is a poor man's Akinbiyi.
Scow Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 I don't understand why he was booed. He didn't buy himself - blame Elsom and Taylor for paying well over the odds for him. He tried his best, so I have no axe to grind with him. He's a decent Championship striker, but was out of his depth in the Premiership.
johnw Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 I don't understand why he was booed. He didn't buy himself - blame Elsom and Taylor for paying well over the odds for him. He tried his best, so I have no axe to grind with him. He's a decent Championship striker, but was out of his depth in the Premiership. Although he scored few goals for us, he always gave 100% - more than you can say for MDV! I have been a Leicester fan since 1965 and, through good and bad times, this is one of the worse sides I have seen! Having said that, I think that we should stick with Levine as he needs time to mold the players comiong from Scotland into English league ways. Well, that's my moan - and thanks to all of you for giving me something to read about the mighty Blues - as I live on the Isle of Wight, there is not much chance (apart from Southampton) for me to see the Foxes). Keep up the good (and entertaining) work.
Guest Gist Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 I dont understand either although i was one of them boo boys

I remember Linekers first game for Everton Against us he got booed it was all tongue in cheek mind and he saw the funny side of it-and we won think we stuffed em 3-0 first game of the season, still got relegated though
rossporterlc Posted 21 October 2005 Posted 21 October 2005 he didn't deserve it no, but i can understand fan's frustration towards him
