SkidsFox Posted 17 December 2018 Posted 17 December 2018 Not an ex-player (as far as I know), but sad news concerning Leicester-born Michael Robinson. https://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/former-ireland-and-liverpool-star-michael-robinson-reveals-he-is-suffering-from-incurable-cancer-37634035.html
davieG Posted 17 December 2018 Posted 17 December 2018 Remember him, good luck with the fight and if it can't be beaten at least let in be trauma free.

Even if the health people can alleviate some of the pain, it's still a very difficult time both for the patient and for their family and loved ones. All my best wishes to his family at this hard time.
Izzy Posted 17 December 2018 Posted 17 December 2018 How sad, I remember him mainly as a Brighton player. Didn't realise he was born in Leicester.
Alf Bentley Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 He had a very unusual career trajectory, too. He went off to play in Spain - very unusual then, as now - and made a decent fist of it. He then went native and has stayed in Spain ever since - and was working as a co-commentator, pundit and analyst on Spanish TV. I've heard him on Spanish TV in the distant past and his Spanish was pretty much native speaker standard. Good luck to him, anyway.
