Although I'm sure he made many mistakes we were a bit of a poisoned chalice at that point, those 4 years between 04-08 were awful, but it was just 4 years, just imagine how fans of forest , Sheffield weds must feel, Leeds fans must be absolutely desperate to make it up this time, which I think they will.

Absolutely loved Paddy Kisnorbo... I remember him getting  injured against Sheffield Wednesday and just knowing that we were going down.

I think an acceptance of mediocrity was more likely than a poisoned chalice, don't forget that teams like Luton, Colchester and Plymouth were all promoted and surged past us very quickly due to committed players and managers. We just seemed to accept that survival was the best we could hope for. Thankfully Pearson changed all that.

My abiding memory is losing to Plynouth (home and away), Stephen Hughes and Andy Johnson midfield partnership, Momo Sylla, Josh Low.

Did Levein sign Gareth McAuley? If so, certainly his best signing at LCFC.

No, that was Rob Kelly. I would say Levein's best signings were Hume and Fryatt. Kisnorbo was good but Levein stuck him in midfield and was completely out of his depth.
