SystonFox Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 oops. seems all the de vries boo boys are wrong im sure he has silenced his critics for some time now. he was phenomenal today, both well taken goals and some good hold up play. some decisions went against him but he has to be the MOTM today
Bert Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 Got to give credit to him, he couldn't head but he has clearly been working on it in training and the guy deserves as much credit for doing that, he had a very good game today but MOTM in my eyes was McCarthy
Guest Gist Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 I agree with you there bertfox i think McCarthy was solid and cut out as much fouling he tends to do quite often .. but yh De Vries scoring two with his head is good news

He was absolutely brilliant! I haven't always been a fan but he's starting to turn me. Mark de Vries on the other hand, i have always been a fan and i think he's starting to prove me right. I'm not the idiot you all said i was.
SystonFox Posted 23 October 2005 Author Posted 23 October 2005 yeah McCarthy was solid as a rock too. he seems commanding, hard and is gaining confidence all the time. which is always a good thing. i think Sylla in the 2nd half was brilliant aswell. created most our chances which we were unlucky not to scare. credit to Clayton Ince he made 2 outstanding saves, from Hume and Hamill both were almost in the back of the net. crap kicker though

Bert Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 We Should've started singing, "are you Stuart Taylor in disguise"
SystonFox Posted 23 October 2005 Author Posted 23 October 2005 kicking was terrible we could have, and should have capitalized on it. hume almost did. but he did save covscum from an embarrasing scoreline.
Cat Burger Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 Hamill probably MOTM for me, thought he was excellent.
De Vries The King Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 De Vries was outstanding today he's always been good but he scores today and you start to notice his quality. Thank you.
SystonFox Posted 23 October 2005 Author Posted 23 October 2005 i always admired him. he is a good player and an asset to us, at £50,000 thats a steal!
Kis Kis Kisnorbo Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 Fair play to de vries hes had his critics and today he has answered them with not only two goals but with a quality performance. I dont doubt his actual heading ability, i just doubt his lack of ability to jump 4 headers.
Guest Gist Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 yeh that needs to be improved he is good with the ball at his feet yet we play the high ball
cisono Posted 23 October 2005 Posted 23 October 2005 Agree. He was absolutely brilliant! I haven't always been a fan but he's starting to turn me.
