whoareyaaa Posted 9 December 2019 Posted 9 December 2019 World Anti-Doping Agency hits Russia with four-year ban from global sports, including 2020 Olympics and 2022 World Cup.
kingcarr21 Posted 9 December 2019 Posted 9 December 2019 Wow, bout time something was done. So they can still compete for Euro 2020 but not the World Cup. Stick a tenner on Russia winning the Euros now
Footballwipe Posted 9 December 2019 Posted 9 December 2019 I'd put my mortgage on Russia being at World Cup 2022 (if they qualify). There's no way FIFA don't work a way round this for them, or an appeal works and they get to go.
Guest SO1 Posted 9 December 2019 Posted 9 December 2019 Sad that this has happened for the athletes of the world. That a corrupt and politically motivated drug testing agency has went down this path in the cold war between the east and the west. The Olympics and soon the World Cup will become nothing but ghosts of what they once were. Athletes will no longer compete against the best in the world. Time for Russia and China as well as the rest of the world to depart and start their own competitions as I'm sure they will. I wish them nothing but good will.
