davieG Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Also current season ticket holders can upgrade to another area of the ground for free Christmas Gift For Foxes Fans Leicester City fans are being handed the opportunity to watch the Foxes' remaining 11 Championship matches of the season for less than £14 a game thanks to the launch of the club's second-half season-ticket. The popular package will allow supporters to watch City's eagerly-anticipated Boxing Day and New Year's Eve fixtures against Millwall and Norwich respectively. The likes of Midlands rivals Wolves and Derby County, former European giants Leeds United, last season's Play-Off finalists Preston North End, promotion-chasing Crystal Palace and Reading are all also set to visit the Walkers Stadium in the New Year. While Saturday, March 4 will see the return of ex-Foxes boss Peter Taylor as he brings his Hull City outfit to the County, following the 1-1 draw at the KC Stadium back in August. City have continued to offer the "introduce a friend" benefits and an option to pay in installments, if purchases are made before the end of the month (November). But so as not to forget the club's current 14,500 season-ticket holders, City have offered them the chance to upgrade their package to another area of the stadium - for the remainder of the campaign - FREE of charge. Head of Football Administration Chris Tinbergen said: "We have stated on a number of occasions that our season-ticket holders will always get the best financial deal and despite a number of match ticket offers this season, that is still the case. "Our second-half season-ticket holders will also benefit financially compared to buying on a match-by-match basis but not to the degree that the full season-ticket holders do. We think that is only fair." The club continue to attach a huge deal of importance to their fans of the future and as a result are giving their younger supporters the chance to purchase a second-half season-ticket for the equivalent of £8 per game (Under-16s), less than £4 a match for the Under-12s and FREE of charge for the Under-eights (in the bmibaby Family Stand). Tinbergen added: "There is no doubt that our concessionary pricing policies have helped keep our season-ticket numbers higher than the likes of Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Coventry City. "But we cannot deny the importance of continuing to grow sales and we hope that the second-half season-ticket appeals to as many City fans as possible this Christmas." davieG Posted 5 November 2005 Author Posted 5 November 2005 Thats good of the club to let you move ... especially if you aint happy with where you are at the mo You've always been allowed to move, I've just moved to a different location in the kop, no charge for moving. Of course if you move to another stand you normally have to pay the difference. I suspect this is a away of getting some people into the West Stand, mind you they won't stay there next season not as long as the prices are so ridiculously more than anywhere else.
cisono Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Seen this and it looks good. Unfortunately I really cannot afford even that much (or little) per game now
Anish Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Well even £14 is steep if you're going to be watching 0-0s for the rest of the season!
