As an aside, I think Mendy is very unlucky to miss out on the Top 10 CM's section. As the French would say, he's been magnifique.

 

Mendy is too subtle for the stats to really pick out, although his passing percentage is very high.

 

You get nothing in the stats for successfully blocking a passing lane and nullifying a break, whereas you do for a tackle.

Agree completely - I think the layman's term is 'the dirty work' and Mendy is a master at it.
