davieG Posted 10 November 2005 Share Posted 10 November 2005 Have we ceased to exist according to SKY: Colin Hendry has stepped down temporarily as Blackpool boss with Simon Grayson assuming first-team control. The Seasiders held talks with Hendry on Thursday with more scheduled for next week to discuss the club's position. Hendry had been in charge since June 2004 of the club, but it seems his time at the helm is at an end. Blackpool have won just three of their opening League One games to date and sit in the drop zone, six points clear of bottom club Swindon. Grayson, formerly of Leeds, Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday, joined the club in July 2002. The 35-year-old has accumulated a wealth of experience in his playing days and will now try his hand at management. Grayson's first task will be to prepare his charges for the visit of S****horpe this Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1.

Thracian Posted 10 November 2005 Share Posted 10 November 2005 Good luck Larry. Maybe a future Leicester manager in waiting. I wouldn't have thought so but you never know. People are sometimes different animals as managers to what they were as players. He would need to show more imagination than he ever did as a player (good servant though he was) and to show a higher profile in my view. PR is an important part of a manager's job.
