moore_94 Posted 2 August 2021 Posted 2 August 2021 On trial with Portsmouth ahead of a potential loan move https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/leicester-city-portsmouth-loan-transfer-5733325 Leicester City striker George Hirst has been training with Portsmouth on trial ahead of a potential loan move to Fratton Park. The 22-year-old, formerly of Sheffield Wednesday and Belgian side OH Leuven, was spotted by some Blues supporters training with Danny Cowley’s side at the ROKO training centre earlier today. HampshireLive understands that the son of former Wednesday and Southampton striker David Hirst has been given permission to train with Cowley’s side ahead of their pre-season friendly against Bournemouth tomorrow. It is also understood that should the Blues’ boss be keen on striking a deal for Hirst, it would only be as a loan option, similar to the deal that saw Moroccan striker Gassan Ahadme join on loan from Norwich City last month.
themightyfin Posted 2 August 2021 Posted 2 August 2021 Would be working good fit with Danny Cowley. Leyton Ndukwu is back on trial with Portsmouth as well. He was on trial last month abd played a game on the Saturday and then a few days later ebed his trial. Now he's been given a second opportunity to impress as they have a few injuries. It would be nice for him to get picked up rather than fall by the wayside. He has always had talent that's never been in question its his application that's held him back. 2

Hopefully he is now in a better place.
