Are some teams surprisingly awful?

Just curious on this one. I placed a cheap accumulator today and threw Inter v Genoa on. It was both to score. Since I had them on the bet, I thought I would watch the game.

 

My word, Genoa were so bad.

they dwindled on the ball, never got their passes away, never got their shots away any in all honesty I think a league 2 team could have done better.

 

Has anyone else been surprised when watching a top division professional match at how bad a team of professionals can be?

I remember one Leicester vs Wimbledon game, possibly in autumn 97, which was staggeringly bad. English football up until the early 2000s could be really awful. I went to see Barca v Real in 98 and it was like watching a different sport.
