Matchday Parking

Hi chaps,

 

Looking for some logistical advice please. 🙏

So I've been parking at Saffron Lane Athletics track for as long as I can remember, but this season haven't been able to get on due to the building work. Everywhere else has been chock full and Freeman's Common has been hellish to get away after the game.

 

I haven't lived in Leicester for many years so don't know it like I used to! Any recommendations for off road places to park with a reasonable getaway to the motorway? Don't mind a 20/30 min walk and Highcross is the only place I can think of! 

 

DMs are open for any hidden gems. 😉

I was at Saffron lane at 2pm and got the last spot. Anyone know what they're building there?.

If you don't mind a 20 min walk De Montfort hall /Granville Road always seems good value particularly for evening matches. Decent sized spaces as well

This. I have been parking here for a while. I pay no more than £4 for a Saturday match and on a Sunday it is only £1.

A general question. For away days, are you allowed to leave your car in one of the car parks at the KP?

 

Usually don't give a toss on a non-matchday when you visit the shop and things. I'm going on the club coach for the Brentford game so thinking of just driving down leave my car there until we return later

 

Does anyone do this?

Depending on what time you’re parking up, if you went a little further away towards the Leisure Centre & Knighton Lane East you’ll be able to park up around the park somewhere. Not much further than Saff Sports track car park 👍🏻
