  1. 1. Should we show proof of getting the vaccine for getting into places (pubs, football grounds, gigs, etc) or working?

The actual irony here is that if everyone had this attitude then we would live in a world resembling prehistoric times when we were all cave men. Nothing would ever get past "I've invented something" before someone says "Don't believe you, you're a liar, it's voodoo magic"

The world is based on trust, the trust that others have more information on you pertaining to different matters, you cannot know everything and be a master at everything. Do your research on the individual, not on the community as a whole. Do you ever see your GP? Do you ever take the medicines he prescribes? If so why if you just want to trust no one?

Never ceases to amuse me that the people that insist on saying this "trust no one" line, use a smart phone, possess an internet connection, subscribe to multiple services and technologies and tend to live on social media which they then parrot over football forums whilst branding others as sheep.

Really rattled your pot haven't I ! :D You have 4,749 posts to date and accuse others of living on social media. Priceless.

Wonderful example of “attack the person, not the argument”.

He’s raising a valid point, but instead of  engaging with it you’re trying to ridicule him.

Raising a valid point? which one , the one that accuses others of spending too much time on social media when he lives on it himself? Priceless.:D

To be fair, that's not what he said at all.

You've bought nothing to the table at all, just your own bitter opinion. I genuinely have no idea what your motives are because all you've done is type words.

:dunno:

Not at all, I find you quite entertaining.

4,749 posts on a football forum is pretty easily accrued over six years - and actually, I'm not the one saying I trust no one or branding others as "sheep"...and actually, the majority of my comments weren't aimed at you which makes your ad hominem rebukes all the more amusing. Concentrate on the argument as opposed to the individual. And your point about rattle and pot? Kettle and black seems to be more appropriate.

To return to the question then. When you say "It's simple, trust no one" what specifically did you mean, if not relying on your own frame of reference?

It seems like you've missed the point of his post (and many others it seems) - he is saying if you "won't trust anyone" then how can you justify being on social media and 'the internet'" - he clearly doesn't have the major trust issues that you have so him "living" on social media isn't an issue for himself or others....

'Enigma' wasn't it?

More Pomp and circumstance variation to be honest. Ok I'll make myself a little clearer. My true stance in life is to trust no one and anything initially. Blind trust is as bad as blind faith. But yes I could not go through life without a certain level of trust , but at the moment I am very sceptical about anything our government says on the subject of COVID just by witnessing the stupid contradictory way they have conducted themselves. Hope that helps.

'Enigma' - the 'E' in Alfred E. Neuman.

The current government excels in mixed messaging, U-turns and contradiction - but aside from them, that does not mean "disregard" expertise, verifiable and evidence based science. My point was, (and if you read my posts back you'll see it wasn't necessarily aimed at you) - people that claim not to place their trust in anyone or anything often mindlessly and unwittingly regurgitate social media/alt-news sources instead. They also tend to be those that have the temerity to brand others as 'sheep'.
