25 Man Squad

Looking at the way the season has gone, it’s clear we are going to need some reinforcement to arrive in January. 
Currently we have a full 25 man squad, surely Fofana is added to that in Jan, meaning we will have to drop one player from the squad.

For any arrivals more players will have to leave. I would imagine Mendy is out the door, but who else drops out of the squad?

The obvious answer is Bertrand and Vestergaard, but will we drop 2 new signings after just 6 months?

Remember Luis Hernández, the summer 2016 CB signing? Mostly played RB in the Champions League group stages. He had a great long throw. I think he was the last actual real life contract signing (as opposed to a loan) to last just half a season. But it proves it can be done! (Seriously, I had hopes for both Bertrand and Vestergaard at the beginning of the season, with the former looking good in pre-season and the latter potentially having a good relationship with Schmeichel and needed height. But Yikes, they are the most useless senior players with PL experience I can imagine. Would rather have Bennett back.)

Benkovic will likely be moved on to accommodate Little Wes. And then Choudhury or Kelechi if anyone comes in for either of them imo

Looking at our kitty for the summer, I wouldn't be at all surprised if both went in Jan., especially if there were Jan. desperation money in the mix (Hello, Saudi Geordia!)

When we have a balance of players available,  we look pretty good.

 

At the start of the season, I thought we had a really strong squad.  

 

Injuries have strangled us so far this season.  Today, we coped well without Vardy, Ndidi, Albrighton, Fofana and Lookman because we had some defenders back.  The squad suddenly looks good.

 

We  have also been hampered by some who have contributed little:  Bertrand, Vestegaard,  Soumare and Perez.
