Hi Guys,

I just bought a PS4 to kill some spare time I have for the next few months and wondered, since the PS5 is now out, how long will games still be made for it?

thanks

Quite a while I would guess, but nobody knows for sure.  Given most consoles are sold at cost (or below) and Sony recoups it's money from it's games division, they'll want to extend the life of the PS4 for as long as they possibly can.  Also, noting the issues they've had making enough PS5s, can see this being even longer than usual.  Whilst not mainstream, PS3 games were still being released in 2019/2020 (mainly naff games tbf) and was released in 2006.  The PS3 was also complete sh*t compared to the PS4 and 5 which are superb so would expect a decent amount of life still.

As time goes on, PS5 exclusives will become more and more common, but as long as there's demand for games on PS4 (they sold over a hundreds million of the things), they'll support it.

Good news! You may have thought this console dead these days, fear not, despite it being 10 years old, Rockstar/Take2 are porting the old RDR original game, for £50, what's not to like 👍. Get in the chuffing bin you greedy pieces of dog muck.

Take 2 lol. Take 2 much money more like :appl:
