Thank you for your reply. It is always disappointing to have these issues occur so we try to be as open as we can in our responses. As I say, I am sorry for what happened to you and your son. We will be making very clear how dangerous their actions were and will be taking that message much wider to our fans because we need to do all we can to avoid a repeat of anything like this.

 

Just so that you are aware I am trying to organise a small gesture via Leicester for your son. It is not right that he falls out of love with the game through the actions of three idiots. Beyond that, if you and him are ever down this way again and would like to attend a match, I would be happy to get you tickets as my guests.

 

Unfortunately, I am not sure there is much I can do to help with Jannick Vestergaard but I do hope that you have a good end to the season!

Thought it only right to post an update, 

 

The guy at Southampton FC has written to his counterpart at LCFC who has emailed me and invited both myself and my son up to the KP one evening next week to meet with him as he has a gift for my son and wants to convey Southampton FC's apology on behalf of them.

 

Genuinely didn't expect this level of kindness, especially from Southampton, but to say my lad is excited and a little overwhelmed is an understatement.

 He's gone from not wanting to go back to Southamptons ground to desperately wanting them to avoid relegation.

 

 He'll always be a fox tho.

Well, another update,

 

We got a parcel last week for my son from LCFC that the guy at Soton asked them to do on their behalf.

 

Due to some unforeseen circumstances  he couldn't open it until today. To say he and I are gobsmacked is an understatement.

 

He’s been sent a beautifully boxed shirt signed by the the whole squad with a letter of authenticity from Sue Whelan, a scarf, mug, water bottle, LCFC Easter egg, 2 bags of LCFC sweets and the next time we are around the KP we are to call in to meet the staff and be shown around.

 

It's blown us away tbh. 

 

2 very large heartfelt Thank You cards will be on the way very soon.
