The People's Hero Posted 5 December 2005 Posted 5 December 2005 Available on EEEEEEE BAY http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KLF-Vs-Extreme-Noise...1QQcmdZViewItem Apparently its Indie-Brit Pop. One-sided official black vinyl (originally mail order only, limited to 1000 copies). There is a two-sided bootleg 7" (or at least, a version sanctioned by Extreme Noise Terror rather than the KLF) with matrix number 3AM1 - but this is KLF5TOTP, and an offical KLF release. For the Christmas 1991 "Top of the Pops", the KLF intended to appear with thrash metal band Extreme Noise Terror to perform a version of their number 1 "3 AM Eternal". However, on hearing it, the BBC instantly rejected the idea, and so they perfomed "Justified and Ancient" while dressed as giant ice creams instead. This 7" was issued to fans in 1992, and rapidly became a huge word of mouth success - - so much so that when Kerosene covered "3 AM Eternal" the following year, it was more or less a reworking of this rare 7". This is also the first KLF single since "Kylie Said to Jason" to feature Bill Drummond's lead vocals. Vinyl is NEAR MINT, although the plain black paper sleeve is only in good condition, with some creasing and white patches where the colour has come off.

Nationwider Posted 9 December 2005 Posted 9 December 2005 That is very cool indeed. You're in good company there as well. In fact, I wish they'd release entire Festive Fifties on CD. I still have 1988 and 1989 on cassette tape in their entirety. Part of my Christmas - A yearly institution that is very much missed by me.
