IMO Both fantastic.

Weller shades it for City but Mahrez overall

Career gives him the edge.

To me it's that word legend again. Every moment of Mahrez's csreer in this country, has been shown on tv and, as such, there's no mystery to him.

Weller probably played in tv games no more than 20 times and in many of those csses, brief highlights,. Add to that, due to the hooliganism of the time, crowds were about 10k so all you've got to work on is fading memories of 50+ year olds.

Weller was a wonderful character with wonderful ability on dodgy pitches, Mahrez is a better footballer, no question.

Keith Weller had wonderful ability on al types of pitches. He was a superb dribbler and would glide past players as if they weren’t there. He could also score goals. Mahrez was also a superb player for us and I think their relative skills make them equals. BTW, Weller played in the 70s when the gates were decent, not 10,000. It’s always tricky trying to compare players from different eras. There have been many skilful players from the past who would have excelled in the present day, given the current Hi Tech facilities, protection from refs, and grassy pitches all year round. We were very blessed to have had 2 such brilliant entertainers in our team.
