Benji Posted 8 December 2005 Author Posted 8 December 2005 Well Done, Got a car yet? I have just sorted my insurance for my second year of insurance £871, I'm quite happy with that considering I was paying £1500 originally £1700, Can't believe I have been driving on my own for a year in February! Scary! nope, not sure what im doing yet thats some good work with the insurance, did you do pass plus/did it help? i know some people who have done it and saved a few hundred but others who have had no benefit from it. Although if i get insured on my dads for my mums car they've said (dunno who he looked into it not me) pass plus would help so i suppose it depends on the insurance company you go with. looking forward to going out for the first time in a car on my own though... will be an experience

Do what you want/What you find best/What you can afford, but my advice would be to try and stay away from going on your mum/dads insurance, because yes it would be cheaper, but when you decided to get insured yourself its still gonna be alot to pay even with years or experience, As I said I was playing £1500 last year put in the space of a year its come down to £871, Its up to you but I think it better to be on your own insurance to be building your own no claims, e.t.c.... Congrats (again) and hope you get your car/insurance sorted soon!
