I could say the same about your 8/10 assessment.  You seem to be easily pleased and I would bet that you have basked in the afterglow of terrible windows in the past before reality strikes.

We have a great chance of going up, which would be the best way to balance books.  I'm not saying this one was terrible just below average, given the funds brought in.  We haven't been bold enough and we may well live to regret a missed opportunity.

In the last season that we went down, we were bold and spent £40 odd million, we got promoted again and it far from balanced the books.

This season we DO look to have steadied the ship slightly, promoted or not.

Or Ulloa, or Okazaki.  Not sure mind you who is playing the Vardy role in my scenario.

We retired the Vardy role some year back

I said Marshall because he was the slowest player I’ve ever seen

it was said of him that he had deceptive pace - he was slower than he looked!

And the scruffiest probably, although Super Stevie Claridge could probably argue that point.

Which also proves does it not you do not have to have pace to be a good striker.  Look, at the goals he scored Derby for instance springs to mind Spurs away.  If Daka ever scores as many as Marshall did I would be estatic.

I agree…. As long as a team is playing to a focal strikers strengths and they’re regularly sticking it in the onion bag, then I’m happy

Daka was brilliant running around against Brum…. He does serve a purpose late on against a tiring defence…. He just misses that small requirement for a centre forward- scoring effing goals!
