I'm still banned from GN and no idea why. Said and did nothing wrong. I gather mods shut down a discussion if they dont like where its going (no idea why), but seems the people I was having a discussion with are back on GN but not me. This is infuriating, getting ignored when raising the issue with mods or emailing in. Can't be doing with it. Have a politics thread and let debate happen freely or dont. Seems people want it so why keep shutting people down? I dont want to be part of that. Disagreement is fine as long as its civil, remove those that arent civil

I got banned from the thread after calling reform voters thick (I think). Not the end of the world, the mods have got to do what they’ve got to do and it’s only a forum at the end of the day.

Rightly so though, there are millions or reform voters, voting for different reasons, they aren't thick. Labour and Green voters though......

Try think about the way you interact with people, you don't have to share their views, but insulting people is just stupid and ignorant, i'm sure the comment about reform voters being thick is a veiled insult to the working class, you know, the type that called Reeves and labour useless. They've probably got more sense than most of the front bench.

Keep this in General News, tbh this isn’t the place to discuss politics

I don't believe that really, most people will vote a certain way out of their own vested interests, others because they have ideological beliefs whether those be right or wrong

I'm trying to help you here as you're confused as to why you've been banned as the mods rarely provide an explanation.  You've said "Disagreement is fine as long as its civil, remove those that arent civil" and then in the next post called a vast amount of population and this forum thick and act surprised that the mods have acted upon your own advice in removing for people not being civil.

Nah, there was no arguing or insults when I and others were removed, we were discussing the UTK march, but they're back, and i'm not. If i've reacted here its because i'm quite upset and had enough. My emails and requests are getting ignored. Even my request for profile removal. I love discussing politics, and will have a civil conversation with anyone, I clearly dont share the views of most on GN including you, but I dont get personal unless someone gets personal with me. Im not highly educated, im a plumber, but I think over 30 years in my job I have a lot of knowledge as to how things are. I find myself coming here less and less because of this. I dont like be excluded for no reason.

You're not alone in a lot of this, please don't think you're the big victim here. And everyone in here has experience of life, we all know stuff.

As said before, you are far from innocent when it comes to occasional lack of civility.
