Creates a whole "what if" scenario. I think England would've given Spain a better game than Argentina. I guess, every other side would have.

 

England played some great football, entertained everybody with the match for 3rd place.

 

Euro 2028 is just around the corner. I'd put England as a favourite to win it.

But the team needs more leaders, more personalities.

The Euros are an interesting one, most people have suggested the likes of Pickford will be gone for the world cup and possibly Kane. But Kane is likely to still be good enough to be starting for England, Pickford might be depending on competition. Then you have the conundrum of whether its better to look to the future, if it was that simple every country would do it and only one of them can win a Euros or world cup at a time.
