Not having a proper central midfielder on the bench cost us today; it’s a lot to ask him, Page and Braybrooke to do full 90’s week in week out with the sort of movement and press we’re looking for.

 

Ideally you’d want to change two out of the three, but we don’t have any natural options to freshen it up.

And Martin's response was to swap all the other central midfielders for wingers, and leave Lundstrum to cover the whole middle of the pitch
